It is an update about "Breaking Into Bungie," you might find it useful. I remember someone from Bungie saying that getting a Bachelors Degree from a standard 4 year University and then as much experience in the actual field is what they are looking for. The Degree and the Experience in the software industry/entertainment industry.

Subject: video game development

Suppose a person has a B.S. degree in computer science (or will in May) and has a goal and a handful of options. The goal is to get into video game development in a company like Bungie, or some other company. This person also has an offer from IBM to work in software development. The offer could not be accepted and the person could apply for grad school at a university where he could get a specialized degree in video game development, or he could get a more general degree in software development. Which option would be best suited for achieving his dream: real job experience in general development, or specialized training in video game development?

I couldn't decide if this post belongs here or in the flood, so I guessed.
