"I will eat your unhappiness!!!"--Caboose

I hope you all remember me... 'cause if you dont' I'll be sad... but anywho...

So I just got one for christmas but there are some things I'm wondering about.

First... I think I already know the answer to this but I'm asking anyways... when I buy the hard drive (because I only got the core system) it will allow me to play some xbox games and then it will also be my memory.. correct?

And... this is about Xbox live... I really want it, so I'm getting it. But I don't know what I need to do to get it or what, if anything, I need to get.

If you could answer these questions that would be amazing.. and maybe even add some things you know about it too that would be sweet! THANKS!

Games from the original Xbox can only be used on the 360 using the programming updates from Xbox Live. I believe these updates are stored right into the 360s internal system. The HDD will just allow you to DL games and videos from Xbox Live Marketplace and hold music and save games and such.

And for Live, simply read these
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/defau lt.htm
If you have High Speed and your console is already plugged into the router then you can skip right to Step 3. Although, if you have time you may want to read it all.
