I played the demo, and thought that the hardware severely limited the game.
It is a great game, but the ps2 killed it.
Microsoft should've hired Guerilla.
I disagree strongly. If you've played Killzone, the full version, it's not that great. Story, and design, are not executed to their full ability.
Killzone would have been a decent game, but the PS2 has no shooters that can stand on the same podium as Halo. The fans were ravenous for any shooter that could rival Halo. They found one, when they saw the graphics in Killzone, pre E3. IGN, along with the gaming media, held the game in high praises.
Then the fanboys got in. They hyped the game, sped up dev time, and labeled it a Halo Killer.
Wanna see a game flop? Call out "Halo Killer".
Killzone wasn't limited by the hardware, you would be seeing much the same game on Xbox. Many of it's problems were in the fundamentals, like the weak AI, the texture loading glitch, animation, and overall mediocre gameplay.
