I played the demo, and thought that the hardware severely limited the game.

It is a great game, but the ps2 killed it.

Microsoft should've hired Guerilla.

Remember, trust is calculated daily, and the maximum value possible changes every day too. Since the titles are based on the percentage your trust value is compared to the maximum value, it can easily change if the max value goes up further than you go up in the intervening time, even if you haven't had any negative items against you.

In other words, no the system isn't buggy, stop asking why your title changed, I'm not going to tell you.

Might have been better if it wasnt trying to be the 'Halo killer'.

may be you are talking to the wrong crowd. you see the people at bungie.net are here because were OBSSESED with Halo. So much that for some of us, the Halo guidebook is our holy bible. Some have even chosen Covenant as a religion of choice.

Its not the PS2's or Sony's fault really, i read the report from IGN... they said the AI were stupid and it had bad framerate... so its basically the developers fault that it sucks... graphics (actually mainly still photo) and music is what they said is almost the only thing it has going for it...

its a combination. But mostly the developers fault. They must have know it couldn't support a good framerate with thouse graphics, and the A.I. being stupid was also the developers fault cause they hired crap programmers likely. PS2 was the gun the developers used to shoot themselves. It wasn't really PS2s fault, but it would have be different if it wasn't on the PS2. allot of the graphics problems would have been solved had it come out on xbox.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Why would Microsoft want to "kill" it's own game by using another?

I disagree strongly. If you've played Killzone, the full version, it's not that great. Story, and design, are not executed to their full ability.

Killzone would have been a decent game, but the PS2 has no shooters that can stand on the same podium as Halo. The fans were ravenous for any shooter that could rival Halo. They found one, when they saw the graphics in Killzone, pre E3. IGN, along with the gaming media, held the game in high praises.

Then the fanboys got in. They hyped the game, sped up dev time, and labeled it a Halo Killer.

Wanna see a game flop? Call out "Halo Killer".

Killzone wasn't limited by the hardware, you would be seeing much the same game on Xbox. Many of it's problems were in the fundamentals, like the weak AI, the texture loading glitch, animation, and overall mediocre gameplay.

I might be asking for a PS2 for Christmas for Ace Combat 5. Then I might rent Killzone. Looks good, but not great.

This line strikes me as interesting because i was at Movie Gallery a month or two ago, and i looked at the back of the Tribes box... and it says "Goodbye Halo!"... its blasphemy to even think there is a possibility that Tribes compares to Halo... especially in popularity...

kill-zone was rushed to compete with halo2 -and it turned out to be a glitchy, buggy mess. too bad, the setting of it looked cool enough.
