I know practice is the main ingredient to becoming a crack shot with a pistol, but what else.
I have read where in long range pistol shooting you should have the circle not on thier head but just on top of it with only a little touching it. Any tips from you pistol master's would be very much appreciated.

Well, besides the obvious (lead them with the edge of the reticle, etc.)...
For 1v1, practice getting 3 shot kills by working your way up the body (remeber, only the last shot has to be a head shot to kill in 3), 2 in the body one in the head.
For FFA, go for head shots every time, you never know when someone is weak (unless you see their sheild break, then go for them specifically).

I mean, you summed it up really in your first sentance, "practice is the main ingredient." Through practice you learn where to aim for specific situations. They are so automatic for me that I can't tell you where to aim without going, playing a game, and specifically noting where I aim, it just goes on auto pilot really.

When you're shooting, don't hold the trigger down, pull it and then release it again for every shot. It's more accurate that way, hope that helps.

all ready in a fight go for the neck no matter what way they go you can hit them
dont hold the triger treat it like a plasma pistol (good second gun)
every thing else i do is to atomatic to explain

practice shooting grunts from afar. Just test the bullet movement. I never learned any tricks to doing it, i just played the crap out of assault on the controll room.
