I would like to start out by saying XBox is my least favorite system out of the 3. It is big, somewhat heavy (barely fits in my slot for systems on my tv stand) and that second 'controller cord' always gets undone and just makes people mad. It does have the best graphics out of the 3 'next generation systems,' but everything else is just so-so. The controllers ARE CONFORTABLE after a week of getting used to them. I would actually prefere them over my PS2 and Gamecube controllers now. XBox also does not have that many good games. Fable was such an upset, Halo was great (and what kept me through the summer), and Halo 2 should be incredible. Infact I only got an XBox so I would not be left out from these games. And the fact that you do not need memory cards is not an advantage. If your XBox breaks you lose everything, and you need to get a memory card anyway to back it up. The memory cards holds like 4 saves.
Yes, XBox does have its perks, but come on. PS2 is much smaller and has a much better variety of games. Gamecube is also very very nice. Why? Because it is so small, and I like the design. It also has some descent games. And you don't have to pay for PS2's onlijne capabilities. Microsoft charged me foir 3 months after I cancled my billing.
The point of this thread is to tell you that yes, Xbox is good. But just because it has Halo does not mean it is the best. If XBox did not have Halo/Halo 2, I do not think it would have sold anythign near as much of the sales it has now. I for one only bought XBox for those reasons. PS2 and Gamecube are much better than XBox, but no game on PS2 or Gamecube can surpass Halo 2. PS2 is the best system out on the market, besides a PC.
