We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Poorly and rarely.

My dad is obsessive with PGR2. He is rank 34... and my friends get pissed when they look at their friends list and see Lifeforce playing Project gotham Racing 2. lol. My dad said he'll watch me beat Halo2, cuz he's not good at FPS. He's really good at racing games though.

Yeh my dad was given Marathon all those years ago when it first came out... he never passed Bigger Guns...

When we got the X-box he decided to try Halo (and some other things) he's pretty slow when it comes to these things so you let him get a sniper rifle, let him sit for about a minute aiming and then jump... when he finishes yelling and swearing and accusing me of cheating he leaves.

TRistan ;-)

Mea and my brother have been trying to convert our dad to worship, or atleast play, Halo. Turns out we will never prevail. Some people just can't use the dual thumbsticks...

My dad has played computer games as long as i have. When we finally got a pc that could play games, we both played Crusader: No Remorse (came with the computer). He was the one for a few years that bought all the games for the pc (as i couldnt really afford them at that point), and we would both play them. I would frequently let him play a bit and then i would start from his saves. As i got better i stopped doing this, and now hes the one that comes to me for help. He has played Halo (MP only once as he was really badly wasted), and enjoyed single player. He is sharing Halo 2 with me (now im a student iam now again short of money).

My dad is mainly into FPS and Strategy, but mostly turn based strategy, like comabt mission and Imperialism.

He in fact works on foreign language dictionaries, and has suggested some of the computer game terms they have put in.

My parents? Video games? Do not speak those two together. *Shudders*

Just kidding. My dad got me into video games (Much to my mothers dismay) and we played Command And Conquer (The original) up through Red Alert 2 together.

Then all of a sudden, I was shown the beauty of taking a thompson sub machine gun, and shoving it down a Na zi's as s. Ahh the beauty of First person shooters, and the first FPS I ever played, Medal of Honor Allied Assualt.

When I was about to buy the game at Best Buy, my mom stopped me and gave me a lecture violence and video games, and that if I became I serial killer, she would ground me forever. (LOL)

So any ways, I was introduced to FPS violence almost three years ago (It seems like ages though) I'm 14 now and love the Halo series.

Sorry that was pretty long.
I'm bored.
I have to wait for my copy of Halo 2 to come.
It should arive in a week or so.
God damned Amazon delivery people.
God damned Korea.
God damned forums.

: )

me and my dad started out on n64 with goldeneye, he told me about halo a few years later, then he said he was going to buy an xbox and halo on ebay, i wanted a gamecube (this was before i saw the light of the xbox.) Now, we almost have the whole game of halo beaten on legendary, and gotten through more than half of halo 2, i finished the other half. :)

My father plays Halo.

Understand that your brains are very plastic. They can adjust quickly and learn new things. Older brains cannot. For an older brain to pick up a videogame will take a lot more time than it would with a younger brain. It took my dad months before he could stop looking at the controller to see which buttons he's pressing.

My mom doesn't care for video games. I never knew my dad. My uncle plays against me in DOA, and is as good as I am...almost. He admits that he is terrible at Halo.

I'm the only person in my family that plays games. My dad said that he used to, Space Invaders and we had an old Atari, but when I started kicking his ass at 3 he stopped.

My dad kicked ass at Mario games on the first Nintendo. Once my sister broke it, he hasn't touched another game yet. I showed him Halo 2 and the sweet graphics, and he was pretty dumbstruck by it. He occasionally walks in and says, "Wow. That's pretty badass." Trying to get him to play with me on co-op/Live.

41 yr. old father of three.

SNES, N64, GQ, XBOX, 3 networked PCs, own Battlefield server.

Gaming family!!

Not much competetion 'tween us though, (we all like different genres) but, am evenly matched with my 16 yr. old son on all things Halo.

Guess my brain hasn't hardened up too much. ;-)
Prolly 'cause I make up for the lack of young reflexes with experience and cunning.
