Oi. I've been there as well. If you've got proof of purchase or your CD key still handy, you might be able to get them to send you a new disc. Go give Microsoft a ring (follow the Contact Us button on the static B.net toolbar) or send them a letter. Another option to try is to find a friend's disc, create an ISO file out of it, mount it, and use that with your own personal key. That's the solution I use since I broke my disc.

One word: Emulate.

Seriously, it's not that hard, people, and it's not illegal.

Um, jeez, I wonder what the hell he would emulate it on in the first place.

Well....sorry, dude, but you're essentially fscked. You should go with calling Microsoft's support line, assuming you've got the CD and a proof of purchase, they should be able to give you a new key.

Master A10, can't you ever think of something more constructive to say than "buy the [insert curse] disc you [insert curse] [insert curse]."

=====><=====

Tedi, I would suggest you go out to the store and buy a disc doctor or cleaner. Those should get the scratches and schtuff off. If not, you could also take a friend's Halo disc and create and ISO out of it; again, same solution as I mentioned.

Halo ISO + DaemonToolz = Never needing a disc ever again.
