Yeah the Mods could be the only people that dont have them or they could be optional, like each person got to choose if they wanted to have it or not...

I think it would be nice, like a little Green Septagon under our "Last Post" to indicate if we're online, and a red one to show when we're offline. For the mods and admin the feature could be disabled. I like it.

It think adding "Online Status" after "Past Post'' would be the best way to do it. And for Moderators and anyone who wants to, they could disable it and have "[not available]" show up instead of "online" or "offline".

To Make Posts is Glorious

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

"heh"

At first I thought this was something new, something that applied to Xbox Live. Oh well, it's just the same, tired, old idea that's been hanging around the stratosphere above Redmond.

Foreal. The mods were SO excited to Sticky that thread. I don't see how making an online/offline status thing would be much different, except it would involve all of the members instead of the moderators.

*Sgt

It sounds fine, but what would be the use of it? I'm sure somebody might be able to think of a use for it, but I can't at the moment. We have chatrooms for chatting (moap), and if you wanted to let somebody know something by not using a chatroom you could just pm them.

dude, you pulled a jesus!

Like already said, there's already a way to see if the moderators are online, so it wouldn't be anything new. Not only that, but from what I have seen, spammers really don't give a damn if moderators are online or not. Hell, some spammers start because a mod locked or deleted their thread, so they know at least one mod is online. The only bad thing this feature would do is give the few spammers that actually plan maybe an extra hour of spamming before they're banned when a mod gets on, and if that's really that important, then leave the moderators out of this feature.

Considering that's the only complaint I ever see when this feature is suggested, and usually by the same people, I say it's a good idea and should be looked into.

I can think of a use. It could be used as an indicator as to whether a particular thread is active at a given time or not. As in "it appears no one else who posted in <insert thread here> is online right now, therefore I don't need to bother coming back every five minutes to see if someone's responded to my post."

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

I don't see why not.

There's never a time where there isn't at least one mod online.
