Umm i dunno. Wait go to an internet cafe (there are loads of em in CA) hook up your 360 and boom Beta city!!

I'm probably twice your age, punk!

Oh, and say hi to your Mom.

A few questions:

I signed up at Halo3.com, but it was several days after it started (their website was overloaded the first day). Does everyone who signed up have a spot as a beta tester? How do I find out if it took my registration?

How are they going to verify peoples' age and that they have a 360? I have a 360 but never use it for playing Halo 2. The game plays much better on the original Xbox!!!

Do you improve your chances by using method 2 and/or 3 (if the answer to my 1st question is no)?

Thanks.

I have half a mind to kill you....and the other half agrees.

I bet you that rental sales will spike right at and before the beta release date...nuff said.

  • 01.03.2007 3:29 PM PDT

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

1. If you have already registered at the halo3.com, do you need to again?

2. Is it out of the 13,333 that people will be selected? or do all of the 13,333 people get to play the beta?

Someone please answer my questions...

Just to clear up some confusion. There is no code. The disk itself it the "unlocking code." In the post that was posted, it is clearly stated that you insert the disk the date that the beta release is set to be and log onto live. There will probably be a pop-up saying "Xbox has a message waiting for you", and it will follow through with a download for the beta. So this means that you cannot rent the game, and get the code like you would with 2 months/1months/48 hr trials.

Anyway, its my opinion that Halo fanatics should not have to PAY for a chance to win a FREE halo 3 beta. This statement just contradicts it self. Why spend money on a game you don't want, and then end up spending more money for when the real thing roles around. HOWEVER they did offer an alternative; If you don't want to pay 60$ for a game you don't want, like me, all you have to do is sacrifice 3 hrs of time to play halo 2 for a chance to be selected. If you don't want to take the chance of not getting selected, just buy the -blam-game to secure your place to play the beta. Its that simple.

Oh yea. There messaging the ppl who won the previous time, so don't worry about buying the game, and spending 50$ then end up being selected for the Dec. sweepstakes.

1) My question is this: why is there all this selection process anyway? Is it that difficult to find 10,000 people who like Halo?

2) Because they are selecting people from the community, does writing, "Frankie, you're the man and I love Halo!," help get you into the Beta?

3) I think MS is missing the boat on this one - hate to even put this idea out there, but go to Ebay and have an auction for 5,000 spots to the highest bidders. Man, if you want to make money, that's the way to do it.

It will be interesting to see how many people become active over the next few weeks, that we have otherwise never seen before. I guess activity will spike to what it was like after Halo 2 came out.

  • 01.03.2007 4:04 PM PDT

Believe

or have like an online tourniment. that would be good.

and also, do they send you a disc, or do you download it to you box?

Anyone who purchases the upcoming Xbox 360 game “Crackdown” will get automatic entry into the Halo 3 beta. If you have a Crackdown disc you’ll be able to activate and download the beta once it goes live next Spring.

Read the last sentence.

As regards to to online tourney, I think that would be a great idea. Its bound to get more player on, and not for just Feb 1-3 either.
