Just to clear up some confusion. There is no code. The disk itself it the "unlocking code." In the post that was posted, it is clearly stated that you insert the disk the date that the beta release is set to be and log onto live. There will probably be a pop-up saying "Xbox has a message waiting for you", and it will follow through with a download for the beta. So this means that you cannot rent the game, and get the code like you would with 2 months/1months/48 hr trials.
Anyway, its my opinion that Halo fanatics should not have to PAY for a chance to win a FREE halo 3 beta. This statement just contradicts it self. Why spend money on a game you don't want, and then end up spending more money for when the real thing roles around. HOWEVER they did offer an alternative; If you don't want to pay 60$ for a game you don't want, like me, all you have to do is sacrifice 3 hrs of time to play halo 2 for a chance to be selected. If you don't want to take the chance of not getting selected, just buy the -blam-game to secure your place to play the beta. Its that simple.
Oh yea. There messaging the ppl who won the previous time, so don't worry about buying the game, and spending 50$ then end up being selected for the Dec. sweepstakes.
