My friend and I were playing AotCR on Legendary one day, and we wanted to grenade jump the scorpion to the other side of the huge wall for it's massive firepower (we never succeeded, lots of bad positionings). There was this one particular rock near our danger zone, which was on the light/dark border made by the shadow of the cliff, on the right side of the chasm. I jumped on it as a safe place to use a rocket to detonate our grenades. We failed that attempt.
The next time we tried, we set up the tank, and I was going to jump on the same rock I was on on the previous attempt, but it wasn't there. I looked at the position where I felt it was. There was a rock there, but it was too large to be the one I jumped on. I decided just to blow the grenades standing beside the rock, and we failed again.
Two more failures later, I noticed that the rock I was on in the first paragraph was back. I could jump on it with no problem. That's when we realized: Halo 1 has enviroments that changed (although minorly). The rock that I jumped on in the first paragraph was one of the many minor enviroment changes that happens in the game. I think we're the first to discover this (but it'll be ok to tell us off as though we did the crime of the century if it's old; we haven't been into Halo since it's origins).

Pictures will come when my friend sends them to me.

Yes I've seen that happen too. For example the position of rocks right behind the doors leading to the natural bridge. It's the bridge in front of the pyramid structure on AOTCR with a Wraith looming below. There's two Banshees parked on it with an opportunity to steal one quickly before the Elite patrolling the area takes it. Each time you reload the checkpoint and enter the doors to the bridge you'll notice a new formation of rocks by the door.

Yeah, it's cool isn't it.

I first noticed this myself when playing Rockslide Megabattle on Halo PC. Since Campaign is not changed at all from the Xbox to the PC version, the same thing happens. Sometimes I'd drive through the rocks when last checkpoint it was impossible to go between them last time I tried.

I'm not sure about Halo CE being "more in depth".

But Halo 2 is easier when it comes to launching vehicles, especially because of the lovely sputnik, anyway, watch the vid. Purgatory on my sig,

It shows the use of skulls, and using grenades, can allow you to "bypass" borders that restrain people in the game, it wasn't modded in any way, or else it wouldn't exist in HIH, but anyway, watch it, for some interesting things.

Halo CE still has many fun things, like shade launching, and such, but it's tricks can be hard to do, compared to Halo 2.
