You say tomato; I say potato.

It gets a little annoying when I select "save e-mail and password" and it only saves the e-mail. It is mostly irritating when I try to go to a group because I am redirected to an error message after I login.

Is anyone else expiriencing this?

I was getting it yesterday a bunch (here and xbox.com).. I'm not sure what the problem is. Clearing chache, cookies etc. didn't seem to help, but you could give that a try, if you haven't.

That usually only happens to me when i sign in to a diff location other than my home computer. Maybe someone is h4xing your account. lol It's doubtful tho.

Who knows why it was acting up yesterday, but Zag is right, the whole Clear Cookies / Cache works wonders. (For Mac Users: Tools > Clear Private Data)

Maybe passport was having problems. Who knows?

Of course, saving your password is an excellent way to forget your password and/or get your account stolen. I strongly suggest you don't do it. If I could, I would set the system not not allow you to save your password.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I always save my password... whats wrong with it?

Yes, that's true. I always set it to "Save email address only", even on my computer. Paranoia? Nay. One reason is my browser. Safari gets glitchy with Bungie.net when I set it to save both.

I have my email saved, but I would never save my password. I just find that dumb.

Aww, I don't think that's fair to say. I never log in anywhere but my home PC(s), so it's very convenient to have it saved. I think typing it in every time has more chance of having it stolen, given viruses and spyware etc.

Of course, I could just be incredibly naive.

I have to do it everytime i enter but it doesn't really bother me. If you sign into a different hotmail/msn account then it may change. I don't really know, computers confuse me.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Assuming you're dumb enough to not have sufficient virus/spyware protection. And the site has been broken forever now, but I'm used to that. It took you guys what, a year to finally make the "Forums" link above the forums list actually link to the forum list page?

So no, it's not just you, gnome. The site broke.

Oh, I get it now...

My msn account is having the same problem. Must be a Microsoft thing.

Or it could be that your Web browser isn't set to accept cookies from 3rd Parties. Usually that's either a set-mode by your browser's "security tabs" or by your Anti-Spyware programs.

I pretty much set it to "save email address" only. Why I do it is on a need-to-know basis.

Is there any risk Saving my pass when I only log in at home?

I have this problem everyday, damn annoying. Only on Bungie though. Xbox.com, MSN.com etc are fine.

  • 01.07.2007 1:05 AM PDT

Controlling fission events without incident since May, 2012.

I used to get it until I cleared my Cookies. I think it's just a problem with the Passport, like Achronos had already said.

I don't save any of my private data. I have Firefox, and set it to clear all data upon exit. Me <3 privacy.
-EDIT- As for your glitch, what browser are you using?
And a possible solution: Don't leave the site :D

I'm experiencing it as well.

Clearing the cookies didn't help me out.

It's not that I have to my E-Mail address every time or my Password, it's that I have to hit the sign in button. When I exit out of Internet Explorer, and sign back into Bungie rebooting Internet Explorer I have to put both in. But when I leave Bungie.Net, and come back I always have to hit the Sign In button.

you could always write your password down, so you dont forget it. They also have those "Forgot your password" links just in case you do.

There is probably some program in teh internetz that allows you to use macros, you know, set up something like ctrl-F2 types your email address, and ctrl-F3 is your password. Since it would be saved on your computer, perfectly safe.
