I'm there but, man this is really starting to sound like communism.
Long live the MAW.

if my PC can run XP does that mean it can rune Half Life 2?
probibly not, i'd imagine the requirements/recomendations for H2v is going to be alot higher than those of the Vista.

Whoa...firstoff...to the first post, no, not necessarily. Certainly running Vista is a prerequisite to running H2V, but it's no guarantee. Vista comes in several flavors, one of which is the toned-down version, without the cool effects and whatnot. If your computer can run that, that certainly doesn't necessarily mean you can run H2V. Not sure about the actual specs, but I believe that a 1.6 or higher processor, DX9 graphics card and 512 RAM should be enough to run Halo.

Half-life 2 has been optimized for a wide range of computers...the guys at VALVe made it flexible enough to run quite smoothly on many different setups. The specs are suprisingly low...a 1.2GHz processor, for instance.

The best way to see if you can run HL2 is by trying out the demo, found here. That's the best way to to test it.

Plus, you get to use the cool gravity gun.

Yes, it does, so that there is a bad example. But yes, Halo 2 will have much higher requirements than the basic requirements of just running Windows Vista itself.
