In OXM's Review they state there are lengthy 4 to 8 min non interactive cutscenes !
I never in a million years would have thought Bungie would do this to it's fanbase !
Sitting thru 4 to 8 min cutscenes the 1st few times is ok, but every time ?
Why are more & more developers doing this lately ?
At least allow us to press the " A " button if we've seen it already,...come on !

I can't believe they did this ! ):

Believe it, but don't worry it's worth it, from what i've heard the story work great, like the first halo but so much more so. only thing i'm waiting on is to see this ending every one is talking about.

Although I have no evidence to support this, I'm very sure pressing any button will skip the cutscene.

...Unless.. its taking place in a dropship you could never skip those in Halo 1 heh.

I got it from gamefaqs.
Someone scanned the OXM Mag Review.
It's On the last page that has several Warthogs and Dropships.
Below that are pictures of a Tank attempting to take out 3 Wraiths.
The Info is to the Left of the Splitscreen Image that has a Ghost in it,
With the caption : It's tough to hit a Ghost at full speed.

It doesn't dsay if it's the US version.
Maybe the European version ?
Either way ,..It says Official XBOX Magazine on the Bottom of the pages.

It's either on page 8 or 108. It cuts off because of the scan ):

BTW - Non interactive means you can't skip it !

It was due to the fact you were able to skip cutscenes in 'Combat Evolved', that it was only a few months ago that I realised there were different cutscene versions on all the difficulty levels.

After a few times seeing the main intro (On 'Easy'), I didn't watch it again. So didn't notice the different speaches that were given to the marines. My personal favourite being the 'Legendary' version (don't quote me on this): "I don't care if God's own personal 'an-tye-son-of--blam!- machine, or a damned hula-hoop, we are NOT gonna let them have it!" Really must watch all those again.

I wonder if they've done anything like that on the sequel.

This means 2 things
1) it is more in depth to the story
and
2) the game LOADS the next level while the cut scene plays so unless you want to see a 4-8 min LOAD screen follow arnold's advice and "quit your whining". That is right no load screens in halo 2 single I believe. That make you feel better?

I personally love cutscenes, I loved FFX and Xenosaga, so I'm rather happy about this

maybe noninteractive means you aren't apart of it? Bungie is famous for their "in game cinema scenes." maybe when they say "noninteractive" they mean there will be more cinema scenes then what there were in Halo. Just a hunch, cuz that would suck not to be able to skip a cutscene if you've seen it a few times.

Exactly !

And I don't care how much of the story it ties into or whether you are in between levels,
waiting 4 to 8 minutes everytime would indeed suck !
Unless of course, you like to sit there and watch the same scene you've seen a million times
instead of engaging in combat sooner :P

I think OXM worded their sentence wrong (hopefully) If not, maybe they only meant the "first time" they never stated whether or not it was only the first time, or every time.

In all games you can skip cutscenes unless it is like the ending of the game or something some games just do that so just wait until November 9th to talk about this if it's true or not.
