Okay, I was at teh apple store today and saw that the price was raised from $30 to $50. I also noticed the game was made to work better on Intel based macs instead of relying on Rosetta(for those of you don't know what this is, is basically an emulation of powerpc applications). I have the mac demo on brothers mac(intel) and it seems to run flawlessly at erverything set as high as it can be(with the exceptopn of a few shaders and things)

Anyone know what was changed besides better support for the game and price if anything?

Well all I know is it is supposed to run better with intel macs. I mean with the demo I have, there was minor slowdown in campaign. So that'd probably be fixed.

I don't understand the business logistics of what you're saying, though...I mean, think about it. The game was released back in 2001, and re-launched for PC/Mac in 2003. It's currently the year 2007. Why in god's name would they raise the price of a currently-outdated game that's been widely surpassed by many other games? And by so much money as well?

And even if they did, who would buy it, then? The BestBuy is right across the street, and Ebay is even closer.

As for A10, Halo Mac was handled by Macsoft, not by Gearbox or Bungie. It just might be better support after all, though I seriously doubt it. Again, it's a 4-year-old game.
