Happened with my other computer. I'm pretty sure it had to do with the -blam!- 256 ram and 64mb integrated graphics card I had.
I'd recommend upgrading atleast your ram to see if that helps. Or change some settings to lower than what you have them at. Less the game has to load up at once.

My PC runs Halo fine, and its specs are nearly identical with his.

Yeaaargh!!!Oh wow, if it wasn't for the fact my computer is unusable at the time, my Google spellchecker would have exploded. dude, you need more ram, a better video card, and something that is not a Celeron. If your computer crashes during map changes, get more memory. If you are using a laptop, invest in a desktop. More memory worked on my old laptop.

Edit: Wow, the bungie websie is difficult to navigate on the Wii thanks to that bar on the bottom.

GTFO the console and use the PC with a mouse and keyboard to use the Internet like self-respectable people are supposed to.

Why does it matter to you what he uses to browse the internet?

Oh, lighten up...it's sort of a running joke around these parts that Kim makes very opinionated comments ^_~.

I think I do know what you're talking about. It could be a corrupt map not loading properly. Increasing your specs would probably be the easiest way to fix the problem. Seeing that you have even less than 256MB RAM, you might want to work on that first.

The processor seems all right to me, though. When it comes to Halo, it doesn't matter too much what the kind of processor is; since the speed is ~2.0GHz, it should be more than adequate.

I get the same problem with Halo crashing during the loading of a new map. It may be the map files are kersplunked, or the fact that it only seems to happen if I use the chat window during the Carnage report. It's rather frustrating , but it doesn't happen often enough to warrant a couple hours looking for a solution.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

im thinkin its definitly your integrated grfx. some cards dont support halo what so ever, so you either might need to get a video card or reinstall all of your drivers.
