A lot of people are talking about adding Brutes and ODSTs and etc. to multiplayer. Or they think of guns that would be great, in another game. Or they think of neat maps, that belong in another game. Remember everyone, This is Halo 2, not RS3, or Doom or any other game. Do most people agree with me on this?

Well if they are posting it, obviously they do not agree with you.

Well yeah this is Halo...and I agree the maps and guns need to stay unique to Halo but the addition of Brutes and ODSTs don't make it a copy of any other game...those characters are unique to Halo and adding them to MP will make the Halo experience even more Halo-esque.

I am serious. Hell I live Halo (see this) and I generally do not agree with the opinion that we don't need all these things. The more options the better. Bungie has had long enough to come up with some good stuff, so why not? You don't have to play those gametypes that you don't want to, so don't worry about it. Let people dream on what they want.

I certainly agree. Halo 2 is not your "avarage FPS". So my opinion is, don't make it an avarage FPS!

And all that multiplayer stuff COULD be fun, but only if Bungie made it balanced, which would be inpossible without destroying the special things about different races.
I mean, try making a Grunt good enough to take on Master Chief!

It could fit in deathmaches though, where the gameplay is more "Me and MY tactics".
Jackals, Grunts, ODST's and Brutes would work, i think...

I'm a very serious Halo player...and again new additions make the experience fresh. I'm not asking them for Rainbow Six 3 maps or guns from Doom...If it fits in the Halo universe and Bungie can find a way to make it work in MP then who are we to argue...it'll just make the experience even more novel...be more open minded, it doesn't have to be exactly like Halo 1 to be great...adding a few ninjas on fire is gonna do us some good.

Maybe at first, but remeber Halo, it's MP is classic. It never gets old. But what would happen if you put Jackals and grunts and Elites and the Flood and hunters into MP. It would not be the same. Elites and MCs are equals, they do not have any weaknesses. Brutes are a heck of a lot stronger than ODSTs. ODSTs are just special forces. They are normal humans, without any special abilities. Brutes are an extremely strong Alien that would murder ODSTs. And as I have pointed out, If we want Halo 2 to remain a classic we can't make this like the old 007 (somebody else pointed this out) where you shoose from 30 characters. Trust me, you will not miss the addition of brutes and ODSTs, rather if they put it in, which they won't, you will eventually get tired of it. Don't speak, just trust me on this one.

I trust no one. Especially someone that I don't know and is not apart of Bungie.

Again...have faith in Bungie. And believe me if they added Brutes and ODSTs I am pretty sure it would be for a specific MP game type. So if you wanted to play Halo the way you remember it you could but if you wanted something fresh well then you could play something new.

I'm not being closed minded, I've even accepted ideas that sounded stupid to me. It does not need to be Halo, but it does need to feel like Halo. If you are speaking on the Brutes and ODSTs when you say I'm close minded, I'm really not. At first I liked the idea, but as i thought on it I think it would be a degrading feature to the game.

If its an option that can be turned off then i dont care! but i doubt it will happen, too much balancing is to be done, marines are stronger than grunts, jackals are also weaker than marines these differences alone make it a difficult thing to implement!

Do you guys think Bungie would introduce something that is not going work...that's not balanced...and not fun?...lol...they would have to be going out of their minds.

The one thing that sets Halo apart from the rest the most is the balance. Thats what makes Halo, if it wasnt as balanced as it is then it would be just another RTCW or something like that. They will not introduce jackals or brutes and especially not grunts, that would just be wrong on so many levels. Personally id rather them spend time on optimizing live play then putting grunts in for the few people who would actually get a kick out of it for a day then stop. I dont think it will happen

If bungie put other levels in Halo, i will still play it, and i will still like it, but i may not have the same respect for it as i do now, and beleive my, i have ALOT of respect for HALO, i think that if they put other levels and ppl and weapons from other games in, they will be more of a variety, but it will just make it the same 'boring' FPS thatn the others, and i agree that halo is unique, and thatr is why i think it shud stay halo, not a mixed between every FPS that has been made!!!!!

People that talk forget that Halo has rules. Bungie won't forget.

Take weapons for example. There are a few rules here. Humans primarily use projectiles, Covenant generally use Plasma. Every weapon typically has only a single mode of attack. Other games have freaky weird weapons that have secondary and tertiary modes of fire, not Halo.

Now, while the posters here in the forums don't consider these rules, making up things like portable chain fed sniper rifles and cluster rockets, they aren't making the game.

Admittedly, I'd like to see more stealth related features to the game. Some people would say that it is not Halo, however, I can and do play Halo stealthily. I've also played from Pillar of Autumn right up until the Flood appear in the Guilty Spark level using only my fists and never firing a round.

The true beauty of Halo is that you can play it in a variety of ways, each of us with our own style. Bungie's challenge is to allow us to explore that while still maintaining the "feel" of the first game. Not an easy task.

They are just ideas and oppinions people are giving, go somewhere else with your "I'm high and mighty, everyone else is wrong" attitude
