For all the a$$holes that have a mest up perception that DX10 is going to be so amazing and everyone will use it immediately: you're wrong. It will become standard in time, but not as soon as it comes out. Here's a scenario where I go to Walmart to buy a HDTV. I am the OP, you are the Walmart staff member.
"Hey, I'm looking for a 36" flat screen to buy. I don't have enough space for a bigger one, and I've only got about $900 to drop."
"Lol, only $900? You're stupid, you should buy a 62" cause it's b3tter."
"Um, you don't get it. I can't, I don't need it either. I just want a 36"."
"Noob, your so dumb. Without a 62" life is pointless. You should at least wait a while to get it so you can get it."
"I don't have space! What the hell is wrong with you?"
"WTF noob. How else will you watch the sweat drip of NBA pros?!?!"
"I don't care about that. I just need something basic."
"I'm not going to let you buy the 36" noob. You're a noob, and your interests totally don't matter. You should spend excessively for things you're never going to use."
"Well, anyways, since I see one, I think I'm going to go get it..."
"Noob, that's a 35"!!!"
*Walks away.*
Sound familiar? Yea, lay off, the guy made a good buy.
It's good to see people be content with what they have. I used to have a 6200 LE, and it worked nicely for most of what I did. However, I am a GLSL shader writer, and I needed a higher end video card. So I saved up and got a 7900 GS, which was a good purchase, and now I can do what I need to.
Good buy my friend.
Hey thanks for understanding my point. It seems many retards out there likes to insult me by saying I made a wrong choice for buying something that actually works pretty well, and using DX10 as an excuse.
That's exactly the point I'm trying to get through people, but they're acting exactly like that dumb Walmart guy. I don't need something crazy like an 8800; I'm not such a graphic-whore who only cares about the graphics and never went out into the sun before, but I care about the performance and the budget rate. Sure, some eye candy is nice, but at a certain level, and the 6200LE can do all that: good enough graphics, good and constant performance, and good price/card for an AGP slot. So whoever wants to go at it again, and act like the typical loser who thinks they know everything about graphics card, don't even bother complaining. I bought it, I like it (hell, I LOVE it), and it wasn't your worthless decision.
Once again, thanks for the support dbzprogrammar. Thank you to everyone else, such as the3ford, Master Kim, The_Mard, BOSS_RC, etc. I can go on, but yeah, I don't remember everyone...=/
