*Sigh*

Sorry to burst your bubble of endearing naïveté, but Halo can't support new content. And it doesn't support Xbox Live, which came out quite a while after Halo did. It's not that simple man.

but they can, with an expansion cd, like the halo 2 map pack! which came with the maps and the update v 1.1, if they wanted to they could!

I have a strong feeling that if bungie messed with Halo 1 again, they would just screw it up.

Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

you should really read the other million posts about this. it can't be done. halo was never made as an xbl title, it would need to be recoded (remade) for it. and while people would buy the new version it wouldn't make sense to do it being as they are going to close this arc anyway. not to mention development time for a remake when most of the xbl fan base is with halo2. if you go through the rest of the forums you will notice that many people like halo2's watered down, freindlier style.

it isn't worth the hassle. if you read some of the older posts about this (there are many) you will eventually find posts from at least 3 different moderators saying the same thing that i just said, or something close to it.

Did you not read what I just said? Halo is not coded to accept new content, end-of-story.

Xbox - $300
Halo 2 - $50
Xbox Live - $50
Getting hacked every game and throwing your controller at your dog - $400 (Surgery)
Still having fun - Priceless

Yo sniper i'm gonna bet that soon enough they are gonna put xbox games on the marketplace to buy. So they could no doubt make it xbox live if they wanted. =)

did you even read my post? it has been said several times by three different moderators. halo was never intended to be an xbl game, thus it is not made to function as such. no patch or update can change that because the game was not made to accept or recognize any downloadable content period.

meaning they would need to remake the game to go on live, and from a marketing standpoint it isn't worth the time or the money. people would love it but it won't happen, let it go.

I think we all have. Its an insult to consider Halo 2 a real sequel to Halo CE though. Its more of a combination of bad ideas.

It's not called Halo 2. It's called Halo:PC or XBC. Get PC if you wanna play Halo online on the computer or XBC to play on a tunneling "LAN" on the Xbox. One thing the both have in common is crappy network play.

Yet another worthless "make Halo CE XBL capable" thread.

When will these people learn to look a few pages back before they make a new thread?
Oh, wait. I forgot that if a sticky has the words "forum rules" or "read this first," it is almost guaranteed that idiots will not read them.

If you don't believe any of us veterans on the forums about the impossibilty of Halo CE becoming playable on Live, PM a mod. They will tell you that what we have said time and again is true, then maybe give you the ass-chewing you deserve.
