im getting a new computer soon and i was wondering if i should wait for Vista.
can anyone help?
Also what sort of computer should i get ; system specs.

for vista you'll want a dx 10 graphics card, 2gb of ram just to be safe, and a dual core processor thats pretty fast at least 2.4mhz for an amd 64 x2, i dont know about intel. thats just my guess on specs.

I would certainly hold off on getting a computer until Vista comes out. If you buy a computer right now, you will be paying for the Windows XP operating system, meaning that you will need to shell out an extra 400 or so dollars for Vista. In addition, if you buy a computer later, when Vista comes out, you can be certain that Vista will run since you can see it for yourself running on the computer...no need to check specs and such.

In general, though, the specs here are a good place to start.
