This site is designed for IE, but I've never had problems like that before.

For future reference, this here goes into the Septagon. I'll move it now.

Reading books is lame especially ones that arent evn true.

Errr... yeah I didn't know where else to post this.

When I enter Bungie.net using Firefox, some of the buttons never show up. All of the buttons on the right-hand side of the homepage, with the exception of the Search section, are invisible. I can still click on them, but without being able to see them, it's anyone's guess what i'll hit...

Has this happened to anyone else? I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how to fix it.

I like to Rollick

It's probably add-block, if it is run a filter to disable it.

Press Crt+Shift+B and it will show the links and the links in red are the ones that are blocked. The forums button is under the "ads" folder so it is blocked. Just click on it and add an exception.

I was about to say, it might be Google Web Accelerator if you happen to be using, though I see that you've found out it was Ad Block.

Anyway, if anyone has any similar problems and it isn't Ad Block causing them, it is possible that Google Web Accelerator.

Some companies/corporations etc. have firewalls on their websites, that mean if you try to use something such as Web Accelerator to speed up the web, you end up using more of their servers bandwidth. A lot of the requests get blocked (these systems are used to protect against DoS attacks) and you end up with images not showing and what-not.

Just putting it out there.

I have Google Web Accelerator and AdBlock, and I experience no lading problems on Bungie. However, the post character counter never moves when I type, and the status bar always shows that I have an unread PM, even if I do not.

Huh. I use Firefox occasionally, and it runs fine. Look at your preferences, there could be something in there that's causing the problem.

The only problem I ever get is that spacer.gif (I think) doesn't run all the way down the page, but meh.

Firefox sometimes gets all screwy on B.net when I'm using Vista, but otherwise it works like a charm.

Get "IE Tab" for FireFox which runs an IE emulator for sites which you can choose. I have selected it to work for Bungie, and since I've installed it I've had no problems with Bungie loading incorrectly.

Wow, really? There's usually something always wrong with Bungie.net when i arrive using Firefox. Sometimes there will be a very wide picture of the main story on the right said of the page, sometimes the Passport thing is missing buttons or a button will be there multiple times.

I just d/loaded the IE tab, and it works great for the site now!

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

I find bungie is not comp[atible at all with FF the images load all wrong. To fix this clear the cach by going to:

Tools>Options...>Privacey>Clear Now> Uncheck everything except cache Click OK now refresh the page.

Oh and can someone give me a link to the IE tab ad-on?

I suggest not using the Google Web Accelerator, for various reasons all involving it doing unexpected things to your browsing experience.

Then again, I also think that anyone who uses gmail is crazy to trust their email to remain secure and private (read up on how gmail works to understand why). :)

Oh, and Firefox 1.5 is a tested browser on this site, and works fine with it. If you're getting odd behavior, one of your extensions is misbehaving, or your ad blocking is doing bad things (both common problems). But Firefox should work easily.

Even the "chars left:..." counter? That's never budged from 10k for me, and the reply buttons and all that are on the other side to when i've had the unfortune to use IE.

edit: also, no gold icon for this topic..?
