Master Chief looked up at the Brute Captain, the Brute Captain looked up at him. Master Chief quickly aimed his rifle at the Brute's head and said, "LOLOLOL GTFO MY ROFLCOPTOR j00 N00b! LOL"

I was wondering if Halo 2 Vista will be easier to mod for begginers and experts alike. I really liked the stuff people made for Halo PC. It didn't look like it gave many modding options, but fans found a way around it(like they always do) and modded the hell out Halo. It doesn't to have to be Unreal Tournament class of modding friendliness(sorry, I don't have a good vocabulary), but I think that Bungie should be proud of what fans can come up with, with the right tools of course. Also I am aware of the Map Editor feature so no need to clue me in on it. So, there you go.

We won't know for sure until the game is released and someone from the Maw picks it up and starts modding away. Most games now are geared towards making it easier to make, and install, custom content. Look at the Elder Scrolls series. All you have to do is stick the mod (in a single convenient file) into the directory and there's an option on the starting menu to load them. It's so convenient and hassle free. But we won't know if Halo2V will be like that or not.

I think its actually illegal to mod hpc. HCE is better anyway, and H2V will use a similar pipeline.

Ahahahahahahahaha.... no. To the contrary, Bungie (as far as I know) supports Halo PC modding.

I hope so.

I'm pretty sure it's only illegal to modify the games source code. Things like models, textures, and whatnot are fair game. I doubt Bungie would sue anyone for releasing a mod for the game. In fact, if Bungie were to do that, they'd quickly find the game completely abandoned, since one of the major ways of prolonging the life of any game is through third person modifications.

I said hpc not hce. If youare going to try and argue against me, atleast read my post.

I think its illegal, there just isn't much point in stopping the modders.
