This is how I think stats should be done for Slayer.

1. First the game takes into account if you got the most kills...becaue that's how you win slayer...if you did then you get 10 pts. for winning.

2. If you were in a 16 player match and you won you get an additional 16 points for coming 1st...15 for second...and so on. So if it was an 8 player match you would only get 8 point for coming first and last place only gets 1 point (kinda like saying hey thanks for participating).

3. The game then takes into account the skill of all the other players...did you beat people with a higher ranking than you...a lower ranking...or just about the same?...basically your score gets multipliet by the

ex. your ranked 1006 and the rooms average rank is 502 (excluding yourself). Since you got 10 point for winning and it was a 12 player game then you got 22 points. When you take into account that the players in the room out ranked you by 50% then you multiply your total 22 by .50 and add that back to the total so your final score is 33 (22 + 22*.5).

if you were ranked 502 and the average rank of the room was 1006. That would mean that instead of adding to your score your score would just get multiplied by .5 so you would end up with just 11 points total

now if the ranks were similar your 22 would stay just around 22.

it's complicated but that's how a ranking system should be that way as you get closer to the number one ranking you are expected to win so against lower ranked players so you wouldn't get as much points if you won but if you are playing agains higher ranked players you get more of a reward.

*This is kinda my first thought of how ranking for Slayer can be done...I would also like to add stuff for you getting points for assists and losing points for deaths but I didn't get a chance to come up with anything...you guys give some feedback and put in you 2 cents.

Just as long as it doesn't fail as miserably as the ELO on Rainbow 6, the worst FPS I own.

Here's just a heads-up guys. Halo 2 is having more Xbox Live juice pumped into it than any other game before it, including the new 3.0 features that are still unknown to us. This game will carve you a very original online experience, and it's only a FPS ! ! ! Again, I just have to give it up for Bungie.
