PC is better than X-box, why, because even if you have to get a new PC to play H2, you probably never had a PC in the first place. Second, an X-box may cost less than a PC, but think about the cost of the game itself ($50), extra controllers (at least $30+), and don't forget about Xbox Live ($50 plus the cost of service for however long you have it).

On the other hand, PC users will only have to pay $50 for the game and they're all set. They don't need to pay for extra controllers, don't need to play to play online, and they don't need to pay for a communications program (get teamspeak for free, better than Xbox live) BTW PC version of H2 may have a built in one anyways like CS (counterstrike). Oh I guess if you don't have a headset thats about $15.

Bottom line, if they put Xbox players with PC players head to head on line somehow, it would be a one way Xbox nub-ownage session for PC players.

I feel that the above satement was a little harsh. BUT a true one.
It all comes down to personal preference , and that is something no single person can be right or wrong about. I already have a high spec PC made for under £500 by me, i prefer to play my games on a PC because their is more control, also there is the issue of graphics, load speeds and the fact it is far easier to patch and get mods to extend game play life on a PC.
But that is my preference, and I can't dis any 'box gamers cos they like it on a console, fair play, we are all gamers, lets just get online and kill each other. can't we all just get along?

Heyyo,

I'd be nice if we all got along, but there's always xbox noobs coming on here saying "xbox has better graphics than PCs!" err... no.

I played on xboxes a few times, nice console, but the way M$ milks it like xbox live? that makes it retarded in my mind. I will NEVER pay-to-play onine games, I like to buy my games once at retail price, and leave it at that thank you very much.

And of course a pc woul pwn an xbox, remember their weapons are made more accurate and have autoaim to compensate for less accurate joysticks... so cause of that I doupt they'll cross-platform.

Ur right, PC graphics are always gonna piss all over consoles!
I mean just look at the physical performances of an x-box compared to mid-range PC.
Ok so all you x-box owners are gonna come back with "yeah but look at the cost!" HELLO, how are you guys replying to this post, telepathy? I can spend £500 on a Pc that i can play all i want at high res with nice textures and shaders, with fast loading and better rendering, and do my accounts, look at -blam!- , e.mails ect what ever i want. not on an x-box i'm afraid.
It is coming to PC. And it will be better.

Its all lies i reckon.

Halo 2 PC will be much better than the xbox version, i personally prefer halo 1 over halo 2 but if it comes on the pc with a ranking system similar to xbox live but with pc users ill almost definately be swayed over to halo 2

EDIT: Oh yeah i forgot, you lot seem to be going a bit steep with you estimates for a pc which will run halo 2, my pc is a P4 1.7 with 512mb of RDram, i have a radeon 9200 graphics card and i have no trouble with halo 1 on maximum graphical settings, i think halo 2 will probably require about a 2ghz - 2.5ghz processor with 512mb ram to run smoothly...

http://www.tiny.com/packages.php?prodid=9089 - AMD Sempron 2.6ghz (2800) - 500 quid

http://www.tiny.com/packages.php?prodid=12815 - AMD Sempron 2.4ghz (2600) - 370 quid

..granted these are special offers but you can always find PCs like these pretty cheap, i bought my computer from tiny 4 years ago and its only -blam!-3d up once due to a virus so i would recommend them

Hell Yes I'm too cheap to buy a X-Box. And Lab tops comps are convertable to places than a bulky machine known as "X-Box". Better party harty on Comps with LAN!

true, but the resolution difference between pc and xbox would dramatically improve the experience, at least for me.

I would think it worth the money, but that's me.

For people that have a sucky computer, think again.

You can get a Falcon Northwest Talon for about $1,200 USD.
Here is the Falcon NW Talon Systems

Heyyo,

Ahh yes, the falcon series of computers, great systems, even greater prices. ;)

If I were to buy a prebuilt computer, I'd be Falcon, then maybe Alienware, cause Alienware's hella expensive... but then again you'd get your money's worth with them. ;)

Without doubt it should be released on PC and very soon. Halo 1 must be the all time greatest game for PC and we want more, that means Halo 2. There is almost 1 if not 2 computers in every home all over the world and why shouldn't we be allowed the juices of the phenomenon that is Halo 2? I have decided that Halo 2 must be released for PC if not this year, next year!!!!

I have both an XBOX and a PC and have halo for both of them and if I had to decide which was best it would have to be the PC version. Why? a mouse and keyboard are much faster and accurate than a joypad. Plus if you have a decent computer the graphics easily overpower an XBOXs and free internet games plus team and open talk.

The PC version better be written better, we don't need a system that costs $2000 to run it well.
