Yes, video games upon which movies are based, tend to suck. Bungie loves their creation more than the money they would make, so they have saved it.

A Halo Anime would be pretty badass.

On another note, I want to see Dark Tower become an anime.

People who misspell "graphics" shouldn't be allowed to speak.

Hell if they made a movie that was just a recording of a person from bungie beating halo 2 without any flaws i would see it. Even if the movie came out after halo 2 and i had already beaten it. It would still be awsome.

What the hell r u guys talking about. Think about having a Halo movie about the Fall of REach. If you are true Halo fans then u would of read all of the books and would see that Halo the fall of reach would be a kick ass movie. John (sparten 114(Master chief)) bein picked from child hood and braught up in training and then on the rebel astroid base and then you have the spartens kickin ass with the covenant atack forces on the outer planets, all the way up to where John finds Halo. u can -blam!- off with Halo bein a movie with the game for that but then to return with Halo First Strike would be the best action/fiction films ever made since starship troopers.

I'm beginning to wonder if you should be allowed to post.

Bungie is not a movie company. They make video games. Believe it or not, that means what Bungie is good at is making video games, and not movies. So, making the transition would not be as simple as "Bungie makes bad ass graphics and environments and hires good actors," to paraphrase. More likely than not, Bungie would have to hire another studio to make the graphics for them, someone outside of Bungie would most likely write the script (just like the books, written outside of Bungie), Bungie would not direct, nor produce, and probably have zero say as to who would be involved.

As such, there's no way that a Halo movie would be Bungie's Halo. So, Bungie's at risk of giving their title to some complete fool with no understanding of how Halo's universe comes together and would most likely create some total piece of garbage that Bungie would wish never have happened.

As such, no movie.

Are you kidding? They could make a graphical game... They already have proven they can make games with kick ass graphics why shouldn't they be able to make a movie? Most of movie success comes from two things. Special effects and story... Whos to say that bungie couldn't make a whoop ass movie?

He just said, if you fail to listen BUNGIE DOES NOT MAKE MOVIES! Capcom did not make mortal kombat the movie, or resident evil, they do not have the facilities, money, or resources to make a movie, they simply cannot do it. Video game graphics are totally different than movie special effects, and unless you think they can pull a 100 million dollar budget out of their ass, you have to be mistaken.

Want to quote someone before you say something, I kind of have no idea what it means, as it is pretty out of context.

Uhh Oppiten what just happened man did you blow some organ or something? It's called an oppinion...

And Graphical movies are not near as expencive as regular movies... Final Fantasy was a graphical movie... So no in all truth if they did a graphical movie it would be no different then building a two hour long cinimatic... Since halo 2 has cinimatics yes they have the ability to make a movie.

Final Fantasy cost 30 million dollars to make. No, they could not make a movie, pure and simple, it's not an opinion. Haven't you noticed everyone who has made a movie based of a game has made a failure.

It made 2 million at the box office, by the way.

The fall of reach or First Strike would make really great movies... but only if they were done right. Eric Nylund would have to collaborate with the right screen writer and Bungie would have to oversee the graphics and movement of either the CG or live action elements of it.

So in todays movie production world it would be impossible to make the fans, bungie, and any producer happy. Not to mention the -blam!- critics out there. Pardon me.
