on people profiles i think it should say if someone is on or offline, it would help when having conversations through p,m's.

Could help group spammers choose convenient times to do their thing. I suppose it could work if the user was able to decide whether or not their status was shown to the public/certain people.

I've heard that aswell.
It would just help spammers at times.

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

I wouldn't mind it at all, It's a good way to tell who is all online in your group, or a certain person you are messaging.

If you limit this site or any site for that matter to just features spammers can't take advantage of then you would be left with pretty much nothing. I don't think a idea should ever be discredited just on the basis of the odd spammer taking advantage of it. This is a good idea and I lend my support for what its worth.

July 15, 2008... The day the timer stood still.

It'd be good in order to contact a mod in case of a breakout.

You'll notice in my post, I suggested the feature would need to have the ability to be toggled on and off. People still get to enjoy the feature, but the spammers gain no advantage. Everybody wins..... well, except the spammers.

True. But maybe it could only be displayed by the member's posts or in their profile.

That's another good reason.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing this happen. Would help when sending PMs and such. All around good idea in my book.

Private Messages aren't Instant Messages. You've got to refresh to get your Private Message where to get an Instant Message you don't have to refresh.

Ehh...that would be to "MySpacy."

Maybe if the moderators had them, but no members. Bungie is a lot...not everything.

Yes. It would have to be optional though, so spammers can't use it to their advantage.
