Does anybody know where I can find the Halo 1 assault rifle .wav file of it firing? If not, how can I exctract the file from the game on the computer? Or is this illegal or something because I am really having a tough time finding this .wav file.

Record it firing, and with the cheap version of adobe premiere, where sound and video are seperated, you can delete the video, and then save as a sound file.

So I will be able to save it just as a .wav file?

The hell do you want a sound file of the assault rifle. Most worthless gun ever, hell, a salami powered ballistic missile is more useful.

And as right as you are, Reefer, there are many things you could do with an assault rifle's .wav file. Perhaps use it machinima for different games? Extract it to use for a tag, maybe?

OMG, Mythbusters rock. But I personally like Dirty Jobs and Future Weapons a lot more.

Please excuse my random-off-topic-ism. xD

Yuck. Food that comes from under water is bad enough. But food that comes from the ground under water is even worse...

Haha, what's even worse is one of today's episode, when he saw a toilet filled with dried, hundred year old crap. I pretty much shot the TV after one glimpse...oh God...

Im extracting it to put it into a laser tag rifle I made. Is there any way to eliminate background noise when Im recording? Theres always somekind of level noise, like wind, but when I turn down effects volume to 0, the assualt rifle's noise is also turned down.

Chances are you can find it on teh Internet.

But if you wanna get deep, you can get Halo Editing Kit, and decompile a map or something and get everything in it's tag form. And there are some tools that exists that can convert the Halo PC native tag files to .wav files or whatever.

Ehhh..
