I bought Halo before I had an Xbox im not sure why I didnt even know about it until I saw it on the shelf at the gamestop right before Christmas 01'. Then I started saving up the three hundred dollars for an Xbox. Luckily my parents decided to get me and my brothers an Xbox for Christmas.

Was it really six years ago... damn.

I got mine in an offer Microsoft at the time -Midtown Madness and Halo! I actually played Midtown Madness first, as I knew little of Halo, thought it sucked and put in Halo and that was followed by so many ' wow -that was awesome!' I can't begin to remember-best game I've ever played

"America, the world no longer looks forward to playing you."

I went over to my friends house, and I thought it was a game about killing starfish

Anyhu i was hooked the first time i shot the arms off a flood and watched it run around at me.... ill never forget that first fred lolz. Anyhu my bro played it and got hooked since his birthday is november 19th he got it for his birthday, the xbox i mean, but what was funny was that he cried because when my parents bought it for him it didnt come with halo.... after about 3 days of tears it then did lol.

My cousin had gotten an X Box for Christmas (thanks to me) and when his parents bought the game two video games were included with the purchase of an X Box. This was around 2002 or 2003. I usually visit often (by then I had a Game cube which I had gotten the previous Christmas and so that sort of sparked my aunt and uncle to by my cousin an X Box. Anyway…) and my cousin was talking about how he had this game called Halo ( when I heard the name of the game I remembered playing it some where but all this was before I was the hard core Halo fanatic I am today and I was only about 7 years old at the time but previously around 2001 my cousin got to play a demo of the mission The Silent Cartographer at Fred Myer’s but we didn’t know at the time it was Halo and I remember being impressed at the game ending up playing the demo about 2-3 times before we had to leave the electronic area of the store). Since his X Box was new it only had one controller so we couldn’t play co-op until later on when he ended up buying a controller. Previously my Friend also got an X Box and he also received Halo and so I got to watch him (and occasionally) play. And so when I visited my cousins house he told me that he couldn’t beat the 1st mission I gave it a try (thankfully I had previously beaten the level on my friends game so it was a snap) I ended up beating it in about 3-4 days (but mainly that’s because it was on easy) and when I made it to the Longsword fighter and witnessed the destruction of Halo I was met with a round of applause from my cousin (it was one of the best days of my life! By the ended my adrenaline was pumping really fast). A few mounts later he got a second controller and whenever we take out Halo we always go on co-op.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I was talking to a friend and then he asked me, "Have you played Halo yet?" That is what started it all off for me.

I was upgrading my son to the XBox and bought Halo. Next thing I know I was hooked. Stood in line for Halo 2. Next thing I knew I owned 3 XBoxs, built a gaming room just for Halo and started holding LAN Parties. The wife has been very tolerant of it all. I have a 360 and Im trying to be patient until Halo 3 comes out. My son will be getting his 360 this spring and we are just waiting for the release to have another huge LAN Party.

I can't believe this, but I learned about Halo, a game everyone was talking about, 2 years after it launched. I was at somebody's house and one person said "Play Halo (PC version)." They played it, but I wasn't stunned. One year later, I was thinking about getting my first console, yes FIRST console. It turned out to be an Xbox because people around me said it had good graphics (I first thought graphics were the most important part of a game) and this amazing game called Halo. I didn't get Halo when I got my Xbox, so I had to wait a few more months. Halo 2 arrived, so I played that first and beat it. It was awesome! It was finally my time to play Halo 1, and I've been a Halo fan ever since.

Thats kinda how i got to play halo:CE and halo 2. I beat it in about 4 days then i told my friends about it they got it we all played it in multiplayer then i just never stopped playing it.

I'll knock your bollox off as soon as look at ya!

Got it for Christmas 02 PLayed it for 16 hours straight that day. first console FPS i ever got into. never looked back since and I;ve been playing consoles and computer games for 14 years. Fully played through all game genres and Halo was my first real FPS played it so much that i hjad to buy the game three times, did the same with Halo 2 but to be quiet honest its Halo 1 that i indulge myself into and thats soley on the storyline. I honestly don't konw what it is but there's something about the Campaign in Halo that gets me everytime. Honestly better told than Halo 2 but I'm not one of those Halo > Halo 2. I think overall Halo 2 is better in some senses but to be honest you can never...NEVER beat the original!!

Don't talk. Fire.

After suffering for innumerable years as a drone of the Nintendo GameCube, I sought for a game where I could play actual living opponents instead of predictable CG characters. I purchased a used XBox from a friend, and included in the deal, was a copy of Halo 2. Sad thing is, this was 4 months ago.

Well.. my brother's friend had 2 xboxs. And they only had 7 players at his house. So my brother invited me, to make it 8. And we played Halo1. CTF BloodGulch. I was SO BAD at the game, I remember it so clearly!

My brother soon got an xbox.. and Halo.. and of course I was hooked. I then, not even a year ago, got H2 off a friend, and got live and all that.. now for Christmas I got my 360 :)

In the summer of what I believe was 2005, I visited my brothers apartment in Raleigh, North Carolina. After going to a church retreat to Myrtle Beach, I saw that in my absense, my brother purchased an Xbox along with Shenmue II, Fable, and...

Halo 2.

That's right, Halo 2, not the great phenomenon that is Combat Evolved, was my first game in the Halo series.

A month or so later, I come back to Rhode Island and find that my friend has purchased an Xbox and Halo 2. I start playing with them, and eventually they get a copy of the first game. This was around the time I started playing the demo for Halo PC, too.

Actually, I heard a commercial on the radio while driving one day, where the MC is all like 'I need a weapon' (yeah yeah I hadn't known about Halo) So I was compelled to buy the game, but of course I refused to actually PLAY Halo 2 until I had finished the first Halo. I think it was about halfway through Halo when I found out about the books and got absorbed in to the world, so here I am now, complete Halo junkie.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

i was super skeptical about the xbox when it was first announced, i didn't think MS belonged in the console gaming arena. but a friend of mine really wanted one so we chipped in and got him one soon after they launched. a few months later he kept telling me about this great game called halo that he got and how much fun it was and how i had to try it. so he brought his xbox over and we played for about 6 hours. i had my own xbox and a copy of the game 2 days later.

it was quite simply one of the best games i have ever played and the best FPS that i have ever seen. with such a strong story line and beautiful visuals and great gameplay it was the game that set the standard for games to come. if i remember correctly games were still being compared all the way up until the release of it's sequel. which, in my opinion, was not as strong as the first, while still a great game.

(Sad story) Got it in an Xbox pack, tried it, but got stuck at the beginning where you have to crouch on the Pillar of Autumn. I was playing co-op, so it didn’t say like A to jump or press in to crouch. Spent like 30 minutes looking around. No luck. Got bored. (Boy was I wrong) Played some other games for a few years. (Wow, and I never knew that I was missing so much fun.) Several years later, I looked at back of the manual, and Doy!, right there. Tried it and worked! Yeah, finally.

don't take me too seriously..

<3

Played it on an OXM demo disc and fell in love with it.

He said to use Tucker's imagination, but I didn't have his, I only had mine. So I used my imagination to pretend like I had Tucker's, and look what I came up with!

One of my friends got it, and I went over to his house to watch a movie...Needless to say, we started playing it afterwards and I have been hooked ever since.
