This spring Bungie is releasing a few more multiplayer maps for the XBox, I wonder if these maps will launch with the Vista version along with the map pack maps?
Any thoughts or facts that i'm not aware of? It's been awhile sine I've hit The Maw forum.

I don't see why we wouldn't get them... I think Bungie would be shooting themselves in the foot if they did...

Bungie: "Hey everybody, buy Halo 2 Vista!"
Kids: "But I already have it for the Xbox, why should I get it for Vista?"
Bungie:"Because your Xbox version has more features than Vista!"

Yes, I realize that H2V is coming with a map editor... but how many professional maps are we getting, that don't have some sort of weapons/vehicle mod? And I also realize that H2V will have better graphics, but not everybody will be able to turn them all the way up...

I think they will, but if bungie can't get them in someone could mod it in. Some people are so good they can make it look better than bungie, and all this High Res texture stuff is getting me as gittery ans a school girl.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with Bungie here. Even though Gearbox made a crappy port of Halo, at least they had the decency to add new content, such as new vehicles, new weapons, and six new maps.

Thinking of something witty to write here since 2004...

Let's look at that though. Banshees are almost impossible to take down (well very hard to anyway). The rocket warthog, with the amount of lag on the game, is near usless.

The flamethrower is incredibly overpowered in close quarters and the fuel rod cannon is pretty much a weakened, rocket launcher (with a few changes). And seeing that in most cases it's found next to the better rocket launcher, which one would you choose.

Although the maps are very well made.

Um, wrong. Banshees are very easy to take out, and most people who use Banshees don't know how to strafe ground targets so I always just stick them. The rocket warthog isn't that inaccurate so it's useless, and the fuel rod gun is overpowered, not the other way around, and the flame thrower has the drawback of burning the person who uses it to death. But they were inbalanced in some ways so I guess you're right.

I think that vista wouldnt have the new maps. Microsoft is still selling xboxes to people who are just buying it for halo. And the new maps wont be availiable to everyone that plays halo. They will only be availiable to people with an xbox 360 hooked up to x bx live. And i promise you within a week people will have created renditions of the new levels on both CE and H2V. They might not be as detailed as the real maps but i dont think we'll be getting the real maps for quite some time now.
