Hi, i have two computer on my home network. One of them contains the deticated server program while i use the other to play halo. Now what im trying to do is get the server to be seen on the general listing of servers in the multi player screen. what ports do i need to open on my router in order to do this? thanks in advance.

Hopefully you've already got your init.txt written up. Now go take a look at this. You should be all set. Post the server name/IP here when you've got it working so people can try it out. :)

k um im afraid i dont follow. Do i need to open those ports on the router in order to play on my server?

Yep. Although if your server is purely acting as a server (and no one will play on it, as things should be), then you'll only need to forward port 2302 on your router. You shouldn't have to open any ports for your client to be able to connect through the ingame Gamespy list. Play with it and find out.

k ive tried that and the list wont display it.
