Shot leading takes about 50 times more skill on Xbox Connect than on Halo PC, so that's really not a valid argument. On XBC, you don't just lead based on how your opponent is moving, but also on how you are moving. Moving, BTW, also takes more skill on XBC. Also, let me put this into perspective for you guys. You say more leading = more skill? True, to a certain extent. But let's say someone had a ping time of 10 minutes (and was still able to play a smooth game). Would leading your shots by 10 minutes be skill, or just guessing? Technically, they would be having to lead their shots more, but that wouldn't be skill. Nobody can possibly predict where an enemy is going to be in 10 minutes.

Also, if you think Halo Xbox LAN takes no skill, please talk to the pros.

All this being said, I will admit that Halo PC does have a lot of major advantages over Halo Xbox, which is why I still play it and am even posting on this forum in the first place.

OMG. You're gunna get totally burnt.

On XBC, you don't just lead based on how your opponent is moving, but also on how you are moving

Guess what dumbass, we have to do the same with Halo PC, plus deal with the lag.

But let's say someone had a ping time of 10 minutes (and was still able to play a smooth game).

A ping time of 10 minutes? As in you're seeing where he was 10 minutes ago. Now how in the hell do you suppose that would work? Newsflash, it won't, the game would most likely quit because it couldn't synch up the players.

But we're not judging where someone will be in 10 minutes. We're judging where they will be in less than a second. Unless someone has a ping of 1000 ms (1 second) then it's not really impossible to predict where he will be, it's just difficult.

Oh, and for the record, Halo 1 on Xbox LAN, does not take skill. I've played against people who've played Halo on Xbox since it was released. And I turned them into small puddles of goo on the rocks of Blood Gulch. Why? Because compared to Halo PC, Halo Xbox is a cakewalk.

I guess it doesn't need to be said that you need to go do some research and not be so damn ignorant. Oops, I said it anyway. Oh well.

Who said more leading = more skill? Too much elading is ridiculous, but very few people have to deal with a ping greater than 0.3s

This is true. I played Halo on XBC and I couldn't get the hang of it. Leading based on the direction your target is moving toward is one thing but leading based on their movements and on YOURS is another story.

For example in Halo PC if you're running for the OS in Ratrace and you want to shoot it down from the ceiling without stopping you aim directly on it because it's a stationary target. Off host on XBC you have to lead a stationary target simply because you're moving. Lag is much much harder to compensate for in XBC IMO because you have to account for another variable besides predicting their movements.

As much as I love Halo PC, I totally agree with RhythmKiller here. HPC could have been so much better, but in the end it was just a half-assed port. There are so many other better games out there anyway.

But I guess then that's just another way of showing why the mouse and keyboard is better for first-person shooters in the first place.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

63) A game that refuses to die while Bungie and Gearbox play "he said she said" for over 3 years.

64) A small, seasoned group of pub veterans that all know each other by reputation.

65) Bungie servers that ping less than 20.

By TUI_Obi_Wan: OMG. You're gunna get totally burnt.

Why? I'm sorry for liking Halo Xbox. Is that a crime?

By TUI_Obi_Wan: Guess what dumbass, we have to do the same with Halo PC, plus deal with the lag.

And no, you don't on Halo PC. Try playing on XBC for a while before you say it's the same, because it's way different.

By TUI_Obi_Wan: Oh, and for the record, Halo 1 on Xbox LAN, does not take skill.

I think I can safely say that I've done more research than you or just about anyone on this forum.

By Master Kim: But I guess then that's just another way of showing why the mouse and keyboard is better for first-person shooters in the first place.

This particular issue has nothing to do with the controller. It has to do with the netcode. Halo Xbox was not meant to be played online, the netcode is even worse than that of Halo PC, which is why you have to lead the way you do.

Thank you. See, Obi_Wan, I'm not crazy, nor am I ignorant.

Oh, wait, you mean that delay between when you move your controller and your avatar moves on screen. My bad. Halo PC still takes more skill. :)

Can I add that Halo Xbox was never meant to be played online, thus they knew that'd have up to 100mbit of bandwidth to use for multiplayer, thus the code was never designed for 56k connections hence the reason we have so many problems in HPC?

1. Halo 2- has battle rifle
- Doesn't have pistol.
2. Halo 2- Sword
- Noob stick.
3. Halo 2-Ranked Matches
- Biased and encourages cheating.
4. Halo 2- Good community xfire is nothing compare to Headset/Xboxlive
- The Halo 2 community consists of nothing but a bunch of screaming pre-teens then.
5. Halo 2-Graphics
- Fair enough.
6. Halo 3!
- What's that got to do with Halo 2 being better?
7. Halo 2-Duel wielding
- Nothing amazing, but okay.
8. Halo 2-Customizable Colors
- Also supported by HPC, just not to the extent.
9. Halo 2-Ranked matches (not like PC when you join some game with dial-up players.
- You already made this point.
10.Halo 2-You can play as an elite (haha)
- ...and it isn't very good.
11. Halo 2- Has more vehicles
- Actually you can use any vehicle you can use in Halo 2 in HPC and MORE if you look around, and the vehicles it does have are generally better
12 Halo 2-Better maps
- Disagreed. Coagulation was a disgrace to BG.

Halo on PC=Garbadge

I'll also add this is HPC vs H1 Xbox, not Halo 2.

Yeah...about that...we're getting Halo 2, y'know. All the stuff you mentioned, except we get to 1up you in terms of number 5, oh, and new, better multiplayer maps. Did I also mention that we don't need to pay 50 dollars each month to play online? And Halo 3, obviously.

Oh, an added bonus is that since we use computers so much, we can actually spell the word "Garbage."

Seriously, garbadge?

You're like, the most idiotic, ignorant, and 7 year oldish New Mombassa retard I've ever met. Just because there's a "2" in the end of Halo 2, doesn't make it better than Halo1. And excuse me? Good community?! If you spend 30 minutes in the Xbox Live community playing Halo 2, I guarantee you, 75% of the people you will meet are going to be 10 year olds who still gets their moms to wipe their butts for them after doing #2. So please shut the hell up, before I rant your ass out of exisitance.
