What do you think about this? My cousin has some sort of ubersweet job with computers, so he can get all of this for basicaly nothing
Power Suply: 600 watt ATX
Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800
Motherboard: Asus P5N32-SLI SE
Optical Drive: Plextor PX-76OA
Hard Drives 1 & 2: Raptor X , Maxtor 500GB
Sound Card: Creative Labs X-Fi Xtreme Music
Video Cards: GeForce 7900 GTX 512MB (2)
So, is this stuff good? i just did quick google searches, i'll be back tommorow
can you tell me if this is good? (and if it will run Vista... lol)
Sorry if the links are dumb, i did this in a hurry... G2G!
mouse/keyboard/monitor etc. suggestions are well welcomed
Your future specs are not SO kick-ass...but it's kick-ass enough; let me make some suggestions.
Try convincing your cousin to get you a better power supply. 750-800 will be nice. 1000 will be uber. =D
The new 750 Gig HD from Western Digital looks nice, but if you still want that 500 Gig, it's still good.
Don't get a 7900gtx when you could so much better cards out there for only a few more bucks. If you can't get a 8800gtx, try going for the 7950gx2. In SLI of course. ;D
For keyboards and mouse, any will do, but I highly recommend either the Logitech G5 (USB, Laser), Logitech G7 (Wireless, Laser), or the Logitech MX518 (corded, Optical) gaming mice for smooth, customizable performance, if you plan on gaming. For keyboad, just get anything, I'm still using an old Compaq Presario Keyboard from my sister, and it's working fine.
