And what program do I need to unpack them?Edit: Forgot to mention I don't want to extract them through the Custom Editor program thing (download too big for me), I just want to extract the files to my hard drive.[Edited on 1/23/2007]
The Halo sound files are contained in the file "sounds.map" in the MAPS folder of Halo PC. To extract them, I believe you need to use HMT.

Okay, I downloaded it, but it said it's not a valid map file when I tried to open it up.
Open a level map and then extract them from the SOUNDS tag. :)You'll need an OGG codec for Winamp or whatever though.
Yay it worked! :DThanks!
Ugh.. They wont play. Only one works. Under properties it says there 'Wave Files', wav files should work :(.The one that works is a voice one witch is one of those OGG ones, but the rest don't work.
A lot won't play back with the OGG codec, but most are fine. Just keep looking. ;)I never really looked into it in any detail, just dabbled.
