You know how your troops can drive now. Do you think they will always have a set plan on where they will go or do you think they will mix it up all the time by going different routes

Probably mostly scripted....but I could be wrong.

If their are multiple routes, they might take the path of least resistance. Like if they know a crap-load of people are on one route, then they might take a detour. I'm sure that they'll always take you where you need to go, but not ALWAYS the exact same way.

"It's better to be dead and cool, than alive and uncool!"

It would be nice if you could tell them where to go.

This thread is probably just going to get locked davester. Bumping (bumping a 2 month old thread especially) is not allowed.

I need a weapon.

the marines take the path that will give u the best ability to unload on the enemy, its truly AI, not a set route at all

i think that they might have set paths 4 driving and if the area dosn't have one they might just drive around the place anyway they won't drive that much anyway

Davester, you should start a personal quest

The goal: Something else to do - Maka

Shiska has already explained how the driving AI works in another thread anyway. They have checkpoints for there routes. The more checkpoints they are assigned the more restricted the route. The marines must navigate to each assigned checkpoint however they see fit. If theres more checkpoints, they have to follow a stricter route to the destination.

Howvever if there is no check point they will freelance like how the ghosts driven by marines did in Halo 1.
