I was just thinking..a lot of players are from an other country with another time over there. When you look at the last time a friend of you played, you will see a time, but its hard and unreliable to count back cus you dont know what the time difference is with your country. So, what my genious plan was...make a clock somewhere in a corner on bungie.net, like a clock always on every page in the righthand corner or so.
in this way you can easily count back the time to see when your friend was online and its easier for other reasons (which i cant think of at the moment)

so... bungie ppl, if you se this, maybe its a good idea or so, or maybe this idea just sucks, but pls consider this :P

Uh...I think that you are overthinking this a little. Besides, it does seem a little bit of a weird request.

It is a good idea, but honestly, it would not really be used. One may already do such a thing in their head. For example, bungie's time is in UTC -8(-7 during daylight savings time) and my time is in UTC -7(-6 during daylight saving time. With this information one can conclude that bungie will be one hour behind the current time. It is not extremely hard to do once you know exactly what to do. However, I can say that this would indeed be a good feature. Although it is kind of unneeded. So, in other words, I am for this idea even though it is unneeded. This is one of those few "special" cases.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

I'm not really sure what that would accomplish. Unless I'm mistaken, all the times are given in Bungie Standard Time, which is Pacific Standard. So they only calculations you would have to do would be to change your time to PST, then you would know how long ago they were on.

I might just be not getting this, but I don't understand what you're trying to do with that clock.

Oh, so no one can calculate the difference? It's not hard, Bungie.net is Pacific standard time. All you have to do is count how many hours behind, or ahead you are and your set. Frankly, it's easy to be honest.

July 15, 2008... The day the timer stood still.

I'll be on my own side.

Let's simplify this. A lot of players you'll find that aren't in the US are in Britain. There are others, but I'm only covering this one, as it's simple.

Let's say you live on the West Coast of the US, and your friend lives in Britain . Simply add 8 hours to your time, and you've got your friend's time. Right now, it's 0:45 in the UK (45 minutes past midnight).

If you live in Mountain time, add 7 hours. Middle of the US? 6 hours. East Coast? 5 hours. Simple.

Fight hard, break bones >{o

it would be nice if you could just enter your timezone like every other forum and it just automatically gave you your time. and this would kinda help becuase many people live in different countries (especially australia) and since i live in the US its hard for us to set up clan meetings and such.

there are other features i'd rather see, but this one definitely wouldn't hurt. (maybe change the time to how long ago. like instead of "posted at: 8am" it would be "posted 3 hours ago" or "posted 2 days, 3 hours ago")

and its not just so simple as knowing the time difference. im in 23 groups and many people live in different places (US pst, US est, AUS, Europe...) and i cant always remember how far ahead they are. so it may not be needed, but would still be nice...
