Which means as long as you can get Windows Vista to run on your watch, you can play H2V on it.

You just destroyed whatever credibility you have on here.

I have Vista running on a workstation, which I can tell you now, theres no way in HELL its going to run halo1 even.

I havent been back to bungie for a long time, as some of you might know. However, I was rather suprised to see that on the day of Vista release (Spring 2007 is NOT a release date), theres nothing about halo2.

I havent been here for months, and theres nothing very interesting told about halo2Vista.

Do I think they should have done something by now? Yes I do.

You can accuse me of being a whinging fanboy, but Im not. My interest is waning fast. If it wasnt for the fact I have vista via work, I wouldnt have even checked back.

What I am, is a potential customer. Who is losing interest.

Please, I was being sarcastic.

And your losing interest in a computer game because you don't know anything about it? Did you skip the 90's? Because I am quite sure that most games then didn't have nice big webpages with even bi-yearly updates regarding the game. And what do you know! Some of the most popular and most loved games of all time were released in the 90's, and found by gamers who were just looking through a store, with no prior knowledge of the game.

I am really getting fed up with this "I deserve" or "I need" attitude among gamers. We don't deserve games any more than we deserve TV or movies, their nice things that we have, and apparently are taking for granted. Maybe Bungie should start making games for Mac's now, just to teach us a lesson.

wtf is up with u? we not askin much here apart from a little update about their new upcomin game, u makin it out like they have to do somethin difficult

how about u -blam!- off with your high and mighty attitude oo i can wait for ever cos i am a good little boy and do wat ime told

Why don't you go back to school and redo your "Touch Typing For Beginners" program. Or better yet, go sit in a corner and wait patiently like most of the rest of us.

Why are you on about the 90s? Its not the 90s. Gaming has changed. FYI I was in the 80s, but there we go. Not a lot of gaming about then. If we were *in* the 90s, you would be dead on.

Things change, games are now massively hyped, like it or not. Following hype, is people wanting info about the game. Theres forums for almost every developer now.

Halo is one of the biggest hyped games ever, that you cant deny.

I have never said 'I deserve' or 'I need'.

I always find it funny how people like you make it out like games developers are doing us a favour by making a game.

Its for money, for profit. Same for movies and Tv actually.

I live on my own, and rent, so Im well aware of whats often taken for granted. Dont use that crap on me, wont wash.

The point here is, that they should (imo) release some more info, especially to coincide with Vista being released. I just think it was a good idea. But either they dont, or they are behind, one or the other.

I think they should release more info about it. You dont, which I respect. Differing opinons and all that.

But please, dont push that 'you take it all for granted' crap at me.

Everybody take notes: this is an indicator that you have won the verbal battle; when your enemy has nothing intelligent to say to such a remark, and therefore goes off-topic in order to call you some sort of nerd who lives in his mother's basement or some other crap like that in an attempt to cover their ass.

Seriously, people, patience is a virtue.

Great Overlord, bless these poor impatient, spoiled children who "need" to know more about a video game.

A need is something you must have in order to survive.

A want is something you desire to have so that you can do more than simply survive.

H2V should just be cancled, you whiners obviously don't deserve Hired Gun's efforts to bring this game to you.

Do the real fans, the ones who enjoy the game for the game and don't really care what info is released beforehand. The guys who look at a game, think it's cool, and play it, and either like it and play it a lot for a long time, or don't and forget about it. The guys who form their own communities, sharing info on the game, without even thinking about the developer. Do them a favour you whiners, and be quiet, before Bungie decides we are not worth their time and money. The fact that we have any info at all about the game other than it is being made is a gift, and if you can't appreciate that, then quite frankly, go to hell.

And I love how the argument that more info should be released to "build hype". Yet I do believe that people here also agree that Bungie has "sold out" etc.

Hyprocrites.

Wow, arent' you quite the extreme type of fanboy, especially with the mention of "real fans." So I take it you'd just buy anything Bungie would produce, wouldn't you? After all, it sure as hell seems like it from your posting. Hell, it would almost seem like you'd buy Frankie's crap if they put it up on eBay simply because "OMG IT FRUM BUNGEE! WE NEVAR QUESTHUN BUNGEE CUZ I REL FANN!"

Welcome but not necessary. They will give us an update when they feel like it.

And for those of you who want to know the release date, try not being so lazy. It's right on Microsoft's gaming website, right hand side under "release sechedule".

Which makes sense as the game is being "made" by a team formed by Microsoft Game Studio, not Bungie, and thus it is a Microsoft product which is given info by them, not Bungie.

The H2V webpage at Microsoft.com

Release date is Spring 2007.

Oh, and the system requirements are "Windows Vista operating system required".

Which means as long as you can get Windows Vista to run on your watch, you can play H2V on it.

And look! Screenshots!

What else was on that list...I'm too lazy to read it again.

Oh yes, what another great excuse. "HEY GUYSSZZ! BUNGEE IZNT DA ONE 2 BLAEM! TEHY ARENT MAEKIN ITZ!" Bull. Bungie is just as involved with H2V as they were with H1 PC; while everyone blames Gearbox for the travesty of the netcode, the people you should really thank is Bungie, considering it was their decision. This is, after all, their game, and they, therefore, are there every step of the way in development of the port.

Oh, and yeah, "Windows Vista operating system" requirements is real specific. Go build your Bungie shrine elsewhere.

well halo 2 vista isnt much different than xbox, (except way better graphics and better community, and a few changed maps) other than that just stuff like campagin just look at halo 2 for the xbox DEE DEE DEE

This is why you need to return to New Mombasa, regardless whether you're from there or not. Zero auto aim, the removal of melee lunge, and the ability to cure Halo 2 from the travesty it was on the Xbox makes H2V all good reasons to buy it.

I don't think it's possible to use the words "Gearbox" and "Update" together cooperatively. Maybe "Gearbox" and "Dosen't care about Halo PC" would work better.

Funny, I've seen that site many times, only to be left in dissapointment. Games like Diablo II and Starcraft have gotten updates and patches while still being played after like 5 years. Face it, MS and Gearbox don't care about Halo PC. It's problably some crap that anyone high school Computer Science drop-out can achieve.
