I installed Vista Business Edition and not I cannot see any text in Halo multiplayer. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions?

If you have a msxmlenu installer in your Halo file, run it.

If you have a cryle60 installer in your Halo file, run it. If that doesn't work, re-install.

I remember back in the Windows Vista Beta days, I did an Upgrade. And man, I must say, uprading from Windows to Vista is highly error prone. I kept on getting system crashes, and lots of files messed up.

You should return your Vista Upgrade thing, and go buy a Clean Upgrade thingy. Because, deep-down, your system is still Windows XP :(

It's like taking your body, removing all your skin, and outfitting you with a new one. See how long you live ;)

Either way, you'll get some problems just by upgrading. It's best to get a clean installation ;)

I had no problems with RC1. Too bad my graphics card doesn't have a vista driver. No Aero :(.
Plus XP ran a helluva lot smoother than Vista did. But it never crashed.

You can do a clean installl with the upgrade edition you just need to provide proof that you own 2000/XP. Where as the full edition you do not need to own a previous version.

BrianV... do you have a nVidia 8800 series vidcard? cause there is released/leaked drivers around the net, they're apparently hella beta and proned to crash a lot but at least it's something. I think they're v100.33 or something? can't remember....

as for halo1PC in vista, definately the msxmenu.msi file, and if you don't have it already use the h1pc vista exe that is on bungie.et somewhere.
