I think Achronos should make it standard that a poll has to have 2 or more answers. Biased polls don't really occur that much (I think), but it's better to come prepared, right?

I usually lock threads that have either one poll option or say something like "I think so because I'm a noob". There's really no point in keeping them open.

Agreed, I usually report those types of polls to a mod as soon as I see one. Especially the ones that are shifted to one side.

Fine M3 Roki7, you win.

What I said before I edited it out was that what if a spammer spams the forums with biased polls? The mods would have to delete/lock each one of them, which takes time. This is where my idea comes in handy, sort of.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

The spam filter stops stuff like that happening, you can't post a bunch of topics all at once, go ahead, try, you can't.

In addition, spamming of any type is against the forum rules; if you're worried about a bunch of biased polls spamming up the forums, our unleashed ninjas will take care of any that get through the spam filter at the flick of a finger.

-- Steve honestly doesn't understand the idea behind those silly skewed polls anyway... they just look childish and serve no honest purpose.

I agree. For as long as I have been here I have used the poll option less than ten times. Besides, biased polls, there is always the looming "threat" of unnecessary polls, which for me annoying.

Example:

Which do you like more: M6C or M6D?

M6C M6D

<Long winded post about why the Halo One Pistol is teh_shiz>

Yeah, their related but......Is that necessary for the question, or statement your making? It really doesn't seem like it is......

July 15, 2008... The day the timer stood still.

I just can't stand it when someone makes a perfectly logical post and poll choices, yet they think they can be cool by adding another option labeled "I like pie." While yes, pie is teh shizzz, it is completely unessicary for a nice, logical post.

I know it may seem like a longshot, but how about polls with pointless options (i.e. Which model is better? 1). Spartan; 2). Elite; 3). Cake), along with "I don't know," I don't mind "I don't care," but "I don't know," is just pointless. Perhaps a sticky thread for a "guide to better polls," or a "guide to better polls," in an already existing sticky.
