Hey matt it's called poop, not spam

Ex: Your groups got pooped on, not spammed.

I like to Rollick

I wouldn't call making a group with an approval only membership, "huge security measures". Neither would I say, if my sources are correct, that not making everyone who joins a moderator, a drastic security measure.

Wasn't there a thread made in the Septagon about Forum Cops strictly based on you? Wouldn't that set off warning signs that you might have potential enemies?

A thread limit would only be good if in Matt's case you pissed off a group of spammers who targeted your groups. Which in those groups you had open membership. Ehhh I would be surprised if there's another case like Matt's.

Uh...PS: Those guys arent permabanned.

Quite true. As I think someone said above me, don't trust people you don't know especially when you're not liked.

Not entirely. One is permabanned. The other is, sadly, still with us.

...Because guess what? Afterwards, I had to root out and delete two pages of spam in about four of my groups! Yippee!

Been there. But once such nonsense gets moved down onto page two, is it really that much of a problem, especially once it's been locked?

It's different on the normal forums though as they are the most active entity on Bungie.net.

I'll be on my own side.

So, what I'm getting is because your trust in this community was broken, a feature has to be implemented to stop such tragedies?

Considering what happened in your group, this may sound rather stupid, but you should consider having a small group of trusted members on hand to clean up if something like that happens. If they turn on you, well...heh.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

In a perfect world, we wouldn't need one of those because no one would make a thread unless it were worth making. But of course, the world (and the general community on this website) is far from perfect so not everyone can be trusted.

Now like about 75% of the suggestions for an improvement to this site that I've read, this isn't necessarily a terrible idea, but at the same time it's not really necessary. Yeah, it'd be nice but I don't know how much work it'd take to implement a feature such as this and when the good men and women at Bungie are a little preoccupied by a current project, (Halo 3, ever heard of it?) in the bigger picture it's not really necessary as I'm sure they have their hands filled with more important things.
