You've obviously never played Half Life.

I have to say I thought Halo knocked the crap out of half-life for this kind of thing, ie epic-ness, atmosphere, emotion. Half life was technically amazing, but for me halo has much more soul.
That doesn't mean Half Life is worse, though. For me, it's the opposite.

No, I wouldn't say it was 'worse' (in fact I generally take the view that Halo is roughly for consoles what Half-life is for PCs, and people's preference between the two games seems to be decided by their preferred platform).......

......but those aspects I mentioned were the aspects I believe the topic was about.

I suppose you are right. I'm a PC gamer, so I'm bound to have biased opinions.

Same here for consoles, in all fairness. Though of course I can appreciate the greatness of half-life. In fact I still haven't played HL2 because I thought the original xbox port wouldn't do it justice - a move I am now pleased about with the impending 360 version.

You're absolutely right, too. The Xbox did something with Half Life 2 I never thought possible--it made it look crappy. Waiting for the 360 version is the right thing to do. Or you can just play it on a power rig now and enjoy the awesomeness that is HL2...

Just to play HL2? I think I'll pass!
