Your toast has been burned! And NO amount of scraping will remove the black parts!!.
I've been working on a flying model of the Longsword for a flight sim called X-Plane, and I'd like some feedback on it. Mostly I need feedback on the landing gear. My main source for the gear is the HGN, page 102. They appear to be similar to an airliner's 4-wheel bogie, but the picture isn't very clear.
So I took some artistic license, and here's what I got:
Longsword 1
Longsword 2
Longsword 3
Longsword 4
Longsword 5
Here is a short video of the retract sequence:

I put the two main gears under the engine nacelles, but forward of center rather than aft. And I put the center "nosegear" towards the tail, somewhat like an old taildragger, but without drooping the tail. This results in a sort of reversed-tricycle gear arrangement. It looks a little odd, I grant you, but it actually doesn't affect handling terribly. And since the Longsword is primarily a VTOL aircraft, I'm not too concerned with the takeoff roll. Any thoughts?
