Well I think this needs to be fixed cause it destroys the whole purpose of censoring and deleting posts. Example:EVO INSANE was recently blacklisted if you go to the thread he made it says that he is blacklisted but if you type in his name in the search and choose forums-author you get this which you can see what he said in that thread.
EDIT:Sorry wrong forum I thought I was in the septagon can someone please move this.

I agree with Recon, it keeps their posts available, but any offensive content is no longer where someone might see it against their will and be offended.

So, basically, you have to want to be offended. Which is, of course, stupid.

I sometimes think it's a good tool.

As Recon said, it allows those who are in charge to see why a user was blacklisted. Because the posts are always there, but just hidden.

On the flip side, it allows people (like me) who haven't witnessed the super spammers of ages past to see what kind of damage they did.

Damage that (I'd imagine) the admins don't want us to know about (or ask about.)

I like to Rollick

Well the severe spam probably was deleted, iceman. So everything isn't on there.

I like the feature, and only people interested with the author would usually stumbled on the posts. So it doesn't really defeat the purpose of the blacklist.

Nope. Just type in spam or something or a moderator's name and you'll get tons of spam and such. I can still see the post I got a blacklist for. :)

I'm not that active, but never dead.

You can't -blam!- the willing, and you can't offend someone who looks for posts of blacklisted member.

Makes sense to me, and since I know -blam!- is going to be filtered, he's a hint: four letters, begins with 'r' and ends with 'e'.

It helps us, because normal moderators can't un-blacklist to see what someone did wrong.

Really? Huh, I didn't know that. So they can blacklist, but not undo it? Odd...

Which IMO makes it possible for someone to easily see WHY another member was blacklisted. Having their posts hidden on the public forums, but thumbnails available if someone takes the time to search, is (to me) the best of both worlds.
Though as you know, some of the blacklistings that mask what that user has said is intended protect other users from specific content, such as anything highly offensive or vulgar.

Whatever the reason, I'm sure Achronos meant to do the search feature that way. It's most likely not a mistake.
