We don't get anything out of your non-Web2.0 font-style tags that don't give us any information.

Make a game, don't post nothingness like this anymore.

“My spotter positively identified the local bravo kilo sub-chieftain. I engaged the target at meters. The shot burned an approximately diameter hole through the target and severely damaged the mauler he had just dismounted.”

Is the mauler a brute vehical of some sort?

It seems a lot like the hammer of dawn just minus the whole satelite thing. But an anti-matter gun which you have to lock on w/ before you can fire and is capable of taking out anything sounds just like the hammer of dawn to me. And honestly I'm excited they're bringing a gun like that to Halo they should make a Halo Torque Bow too.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite airstrike.

Neither side would be interested in making one.

Both see it as an out-dated catapult (though the Covenant see all UNSC bullet and cartridge weapons as catapults), and the bow has no place in 2552.

I hope we can carry any weapon we want not like farcry where you could only carry a one big weapon you cant carry two big weapons. It also says it dosent ship with the charge so maybe when you pick it up its empty and you have to find charges lying not far from the weapon its self.

I fear that this Spartan Laser is going to be a total whore weapon... you say it can be used to "paint" enemies? Does this mean you can maeuver it for a while when its firing? Like the Hammer of Dawn in GoW? Its going to be hated by everyone if this is true.

New Screenshots plz! K Thx bai.

Very Bitter

Theres a good reason, namely that the Spartan Lazer will only get a few shots before it runs dry... and like the plasma rifles, you can't pick up any spare shots, just discard your half-used Lazer for a new Lazer.

Plus, don't the scorpion tanks have reflective armor? I remember the Covie lazer sniper bouncing off of that thing like crazy. The Spartan Lazer may be less effective against certain vehicles.

They said earlier that the Spartan Lazer sends out a thin red non-damaging lazer while it charges up. Thats so you can find out where the shooter is at and either take cover or rock his face.

Sounds great; its too bad we can't have hand held laser weapons as well...but I guess humans always have enjoyed pumping our enemies full of hot lead instead...but you'd think by year 2500+ we would have that stuff ;).

Carry on Bungie its very exciting to watch this unfold.

Man hearing all of this technical jargon makes me wish that there was going to be a real cover system, just so all of these great tactics could be put to better use.

Get Ghost.

The Spartan Laser is going to be sweet, but its going to have its strengths and weaknesses, just like any other weapon. People that think its going to be over-powerful or what-not, shouldn't be too quick to judge. Chances are, there will only be one on a map, and its going to have limited ammunition and the rate of fire is extremely slow; not to mention that when getting ready to fire or whatever, the post said you would "paint" people. I'm sure you would notice if you were being painted and be smart enough to get out of the way, or find cover. You could easily get picked off using it too. In the 3 seconds it takes to charge, I could put 4 sniper rounds in your head, and in close quarters, you'd be long dead before you could even get a shot off. Its a long-range anti-vehicle weapon. Key in objective based games I'm sure, but I bet its only going to be slightly better than the rocks in a slayer match.

I look forward to seeing it in action, as well as the "mauler" and "chopper" whatever those may be.

What's up? I'm Anthony, from Maryland. I play a lot of video games, too many. Enjoying the Halo Reach Beat right now. Also Halo was kind of my life from the age of 11-14.

Cant wait to use it !

The Halo games aren't tactic-based "cover games". They are fast-paced action games. Halo is not Gears of War. Ok, thats done.

Great update BTW. I can't wait to use the Laser, but that thing better be balanced.

the spartan laser is awsome. Thanks for the sweet update KP. i hope all the weapons theyve made in halo 3 can be used in multiplayer. except stuff like duh (scarab gun) now thats what you call ovpw the spartan laser is a power weapon so stop saying its overpowered. its a long range weapon and halo needed some more of them.

Dont get too wrapped up in the Internet. It's already forgotten about you.

Sounds far too powerful for Halo.

Unless it only fires too shots and has a very slow respawn, I dare say that this weapon is going to be a XBL downfall.

Just my opinion so far, but looking forward to testing it out.

I've also got to say, what I've felt for a long time, that the name is just lame.
