When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands buttered side down. Therefore, if a slice of toast is strapped to a cat's back, buttered side up, and the animal is then dropped, the two opposing forces will cause it to hover, spinning inches above the ground. If enough toast-laden felines were used, they could form the basis of a high-speed monorail system.
Hey. Here I am sitting at my computer, thinking and thinking about what I wanna do as a profession. Being a youngin' myself (Think along the lines of: Can't wait for my junior high school diploma....alright.....not that young), I am really interested in breaking into the game design industry, the sooner the better.
My friend and I have some quite grandiose plans for the future, even going so far as to what the supporting characters in the sequel to our second game series' spin-off title will be. You get the picture, we're pretty into it. What I wanna throw out there, to ask anyone in the industry, is this: How do I start? I'm mostly into the real design features, such as modeling, level design, etc. But also really interested in A.I. behavior programming, multiplayer, pretty much everything. Should I start with programming language? Basic 2D platformer design? What do I do? Thanks a million in advance, any advice is greatly appreciated.
