* How is it that "Fat Chance" and "Slim Chance" mean the same thing?
* If you choke a Smurf, what color will it turn?

Well, I have seen exceptions before.

On TGP's birthday there was a "Happy Birthday TGP" thread that stayed open for quite awhile.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Well I have an idea. Why don't we have a moderator create a thread that users can post questions in and have fun with? It would be stickied and jerks could be banned. Kinda like any other Q&A thread.

If I interpreted ash's post correctly, then part of the reason moderator threads are bad is because it puts them on a pedestal and people sometimes forget that they are ordinary people too. Except Yoozel, he's Mr. Smiley's man slave. Everyone else is normal, though

Of course ;)

Well I understand that. However moderators are the people in the community that give it that flavor that is unique. Without knowing what it is, then we can't know how to make a great recipe.

Ach! Was ist los?

There was once a time when I could tell corny jokes until the sun came up... or at least until Shishka logged on. Sometimes people laughed, sometimes people quoted them for a bit. I didn't mind; lots of other people were doing it as well.

Then they made me a ninja and suddenly everyone either clapped or complained every time I tried to act normal.

Then they made this rule and now all I can do is be cranky and lurkish.

You're all jerks. I'm going off to EMF.

Nobody likes a whiner.

Now say something funny so I can sig it.

[edit: Uh oh, I was reading that other thread. Apparently this is a bump. So I should say something informative. ... I like my idea. :( But uh, it looks as if not everyone agrees. :\ ]

My friend, you would not tell with ſuch high zeſt
To children ardent for ſome deſperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum eſt
Pro patria mori.

I suppose after the thousandth "What hats do ninjas wear on Ramadan?", "How wide are the two smallest ninjas" and "Who's your favourite ninja" type thread, something had to be done to cut down the crap, as it were.

Of course what people didn't realise was that using their imaginations to fabricate answers to those questions poses a far greater entertainment prospect than getting genuine responses. Regardless of that, the answers to the first three questions are "feathered fedoras", "140cm" and "the one who doesn't blacklist you" in whatever order you want... provided it's the stated order.

To me, this is why more ninja and member threads need to be left alone. I think sometimes creativity on this forum is stiffled and snuffed out because someone's feelings might be hurt, or the witty thread is directed at a particular person or group of people.

I'm a lot like Bob in that I come here to laugh and enjoy other people's humerous threads and posts. Like Fragula said above, a lot of the time the most creative and funny threads are unintentional. Why not be a little more lax about locking every member or ninja related thread? As long as everyone's having fun, who exactly are we hurting?

Good thread Zag.

(random yet funny signature goes here)

I do often find myself asking those questions to myself, but when I actually work up courage I think the flood is the only place to put it. And I don't like the flood. It's a scary place that focuses on other games that don't belong to Bungie and how many girlfriends I've had. And both of those subjects just end up getting me depressed. Sadness.
