So why is it that I'm only the second person to notice and mention the fact that the 360's they were playing on in the last picture were all black? I realize there are a lot of third party vendors out there who are selling black replacement cases, but if you install them you are voiding your 360 warranty (you have to break the seal on the white case to get it off). So the real question is, did Bungie bust the warranty on those 50 machines, or is Microsoft going to release an all black 360 with the launch of Halo 3?
[edit]
Look here ... there seems to be an extended grey rectangular hard drive on the top of this black 360 in this photo on the floor on the far right. Unfortuantely a second black 360 is hidden under a bunch of controllers and wires.

Dev Kit 360's are black and always have been. They're for game developers.
Also, I understand some concern with the broken promise on info, but if anyone is really that mad about it, I have a feeling they should go outside and play catch or something, and stop refreshing bungie.net once every 15 minutes for the rest of their lives.
Halo 3 will come out. It will be good, it will be decent, or it will be bad. But these updates don't change that outcome - they still are a privilege that Bungie gives you to show how the game is making progress. And if it hasn't made much progress for a week, then that isn't capable of being much of an update. And your forum replies to these updates won't change a thing about the way updates are posted - except I wouldn't be surprised at this rate if Bungie just took away the updates, because it seems like no one enjoys them.
Also, Frankie has the right to break a promise, because he's the one working at Bungie making a complicated game, where things change all the time. He's also probably not in control of what he can reveal, and thus someone probably broke a promise to him.
Damn right! Atleast someone has some sense! They migt have planned on getting some huge something or other but sometimes they can't get to it because of a big glich the found or something! Would you rather Halo 3 just showed up on shelves one day and no one knew about it even coming out?
