It'd be great to organize ourselves. But question, would it ever be accepted to do Community Spotlights on regular members, written by regular members? Would there be a way for it to be proven, impartial? I would love to do some, to turn the community toward itself a bit, and take some responsibility, though I fear that some would cry foul.
If I didn't know any better I would swear that you are my long lost twin....
All joking aside, I completely agree. I too have thought of things to bring the se7enth column closer, make it like it once was. And like you, I fear that it would either be in vain, or some would cry foul. All I really have to say, is that this community has become weak. There is nothing more to it than that. There hasn't really been a community for the past year or so in my opinion. It is just the same old junk, different day. Sure a few great discussions here and there, but those still are the same old discussions. Forum cops, moderator abuse, same old upgrade ideas, it is all the same.
I believe that to strengthen the grasp of the community, we all must be apart. Not just the few that create threads; that makes it seem rather active. If we were able to just pick at the minds of one another we could find interests, look into the minds of one another. Begin to come up with connections; then build upon that. Then we may all become a bit closer, then by some slight chance the se7enth column will become great again. Not to mention get some more people to visit, there are only about twelve se7enth column members, and each day that passes it seem that it dwindles to fewer.
I do agree with the rest of you that the se7enth column will be great once more when bungie comes out with something new. Only then will the community grow and unite like it once was.
Now, it seems to me that I am beginning to babble, or have I already begun? Either way I shall stop there.
