MIdas touch, whenever I see your name, I instinctively think of this
He's got the Midas Touch,
but he touched it too much...
Back on topic. This forum is a lot cleaner than other forums. All member information is nicely hidden in a link to their profile, as opposed to spread all over the title bar. Their sig is forcibly limited to a manageable size. Pictures are not allowed; a very good thing when you think about the size of this. Actually, custom avatars are almost always annoying, to say nothing of pictures in sigs. The Navbar is a nice feature, because it can be shrinked, yet always reached. They post the text markups in an unobtrusive spot (maybe too unobtrusive, most people never use links), but a good one.
Compared to other forums, you have a random navbar docked on the top that is way to large and cluttered with pictures, stupid custom avatars, and stuff I really don't need to know, such as how many posts a user has made. They also have a random feel, even to the form list. Stickies look almost completely indistinct from other threads, and they're all in one boring color.
If I were to make my own forums, I would model it after bungie.net. Except for minor fixes (which have been steadily added, i.e. bookmarks), bungie.net is awesome. My only suggestion would be to make the topic bar smaller. Maybe 1 at the top of each page. The Date Posted information could replace the Last Post information, and I've rarely seen a good reason for people to "change" the topic in the middle of a thread. Other than that, bungie.net is infinitely better than other forums. Actually, bungie.net has the smallest topic bar I've seen in the forums I visit, so it is the best.
