I have wandered these forums and the site a few times in the build up to Halo 2.

I figure with the online stats and whatnot I figure I will use these website a lot of the next few months. I also use Firefox and this place hates it. Its really slow in scrolling - really chuggy and with a kinda mouse delay on it which makes navigating round pretty slow and annoying.

Lots of people use firefox, and though its not much effort to run IE instead its a bit of a pain. Are any fixes for this planned?

I also user firefox; but thought it was just the really graphical intense site that was slowing me down.

Lemmie try internet explorer and see how it is.

Odd. One of my friends was complaining about this very issue to me last night but I haven't noticed a thing.

I'm a Firefox user on version 0.8 so maybe that's the issue. Did you upgrade to 1.0?

"Lots" is subjective.

One avenue to be heard is to articulate your concerns clearly and concisely, and send the complaint to Bnet Bugs. "Clearly" and "concisely" being the key words, fyi. Details help. Bnet Bugs exists for the reporting of Bungie.net site issues: browser compatibility qualifies.

Well to be honest I would imagine bungie are already aware of the problem. I figure this issue may have come up before so I was really asking this here forum community what the deal is rather than hassling Bungie directly :p

"Lots" is subjective, true. But it doesn't change the fact that LOTS of people use firefox ;) perhaps a tiny minority compared to IE users, but certainly enough people for this to be a problem worth addressing, imo.

The one detail I did leave out was my browser version. I am using 0.9, and the site does not work very well with that version, and it seems from above posts that 0.8 works ok, so at least we have made some progress!

Ver 1.0 of firefox is released Nov 9th (coincidence or what?!) so maybe all my problems will dissappear come tommorrow :)

Oops, I posted this somewhere else. It seems the developers went asp.net crazy and concentrated on IE. Just because it's a popular browser, doesn't mean it's quality. Look at what happened during the election! :-P

Fix the site for firefox, and more importantly, for me! I will not bow to IE just to enjoy Halo 2 stat goodness!

Bungie: owned by Microsoft.
IE: owned by Microsoft.
Firefox: not owned by Microsoft.
Therefore, Firefox slow on Bungie.net & IE fast on Bungie.net
