I saw that when I looked back at really old posts once. If it could come back without major performance issues, it would be a helpful feature.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

You know, for a while I thought I was losing it, because I could have sworn that I had seen times in edits, but then when I got back to B.net, they weren't there any more. Looking through older threads solved that, though.

Anyways, if it is possible, I think it would be nice. Especially in cases where the OP changes something, it would help to know when they did that.

I remember it. I still remember seeing a edited post was was like..."wow it looks smaller."

I was thinking a time stamp as well, but for the quotes. I suppose you could add them in manually every time you do a quote, more than anything a convience thing for quotes to impliment.

Well, you can always make up some time and edit that in, like 7:77 AM or something. Not that it would have any meaning or purpose...

I miss the ol' timestamp.

I never really knew about this time-stamp feature though I can see how useful it would be without ever having used it before. I'd like to get this back if at all possible.

Timestamps FTW!

I do seem to recall there being a timestamp, although I don't remember it disappearing so long ago. Still, it would be nice to have back, though it really doesn't make a big influence on conversations (unless its in the flood, in which case it would be invaluable).

I remember there being a timestamp, but I don't remember when it was taken away. I don't imagine it'd be hard to put back in either..

I never really found it to be important, but I could understand that a moderator would find it much more useful.

Poor wording got the better of me there. Not what i intended to say.

The benefits seem limited, although i guess the important question is what are the costs?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

It would certainly stop people from covering up there tracks if they posted somthing bad and it was reported.

The time an edit is made is a big clue also when arguments break out over what one said.

I liked those timestamps too. I also prefered it when all post timestamps were given with time. It's helpful when I try to archive old posts in groups. I like to keep them in chronological order, but now I have to do it by day instead of second :(

Ach! Was ist los?

I'd like to see the timestamps return as well, as long as they don't sandbag our load times.

Yah. I'd like it back. Most threads usually die within and hour. Just seeing the day isn't very helpful.

I think I remember timestamps, but I'm not sure. I can see how it would be useful, and would prevent unnecessary opposition, and thus would be an advantage to the peace of the forums. Perhaps Anchronos will post later.
