There are a few ways to get out of T&R. I'm not familiar with using hunters. The "standard" way is to do it co-op and jump up on the braches in the area before the grav-lift area (turret, first branch, second branch, third branch, grenade jump up).
Seems like if you could make it work reliably though, abusing hunters is a good bet.
